Taylor, car dealer, while he decides if Mrs. Walter Graff should wear this coat from Frances' Furs for the annual Medford Junior Service league spring fashion show February 13 and 14. The coat is a handsome silver mink in a comfortable fingertip length. Ten well known business and professional men of the city are taking time out from their busy schedules to help league members choose just the right clothing to interest guests at the coming show. In past years the models and the store saleswomen chose the dresses, wraps and sportswear. This year 10 well known Medford men will go -along and help decide what the models should wear for the impor tant event. The show will be held at Rogue Valley Country club Thursday afternoon, Febru ary 13, and Friday afternoon and evening, February 14. Luncheon will be served and dinner will precede the Fri day evening show. League members and a group of teenage girls will model. Floyd H. Baker will select clothes from Town and Country shop, Eagle Point, to be worn by his daughter, Su san, and Mrs. Jonathan Mid dleton. Robert C. Taylor se lected furs at Frances' "Fur shop to be worn by Mrs. Wal ter Graff in the show, and James Dunlevy will choose from the stock at Rath's store to be modeled by Mrs. George Lewis and Miss Vicky Enders. Mrs. Gordon Hudson and Miss Susan Graff will model clothing from Hadleys select ed by Fred Spiegelberg, and J. p. Tobin will select cloth ing at Mann's Department store to be modeled by Mrs. David H. Holmes and Miss Tanya Enders. Philip B. Low ry has already visited Jean Hart's store where he select ed sDrinff stvles to be worn ! by Mrs. Richard Hensley and Letter Carriers, Auxiliary Group Install Officers Branch 1433, National As sociation of Letter Carriers, and Auxiliary 367 met in joint session for installation of officers. The event took place at the Medford Hotel's small dining room, and fol lowed a dinner. Walter Wilson was install ing officer, assisted by Ken drick Watson and Mrs. Larry Rose. Installed were Larry Rose, president; Milton Sin gler, vice president; Charles Wiley, secretary-treasurer; Harry Fitzpatrick, financial secretary; Kendrick Watson, trustee for a 3-year term; and Richard Wilson, sergeant-at-arms. Installed for the auxiliary were Miss Jean Johnson, pres ident; Mrs. John Lynch, vice president; Mrs. Steven Dodge, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Ran dy Hugdahl, financial secre tary; Mrs. William Roberts, color bearer; Mrs. Walter Wil son, chaplain; Mrs. Robert Newland, mistress-at-a r m s; Mrs. Ivan Lantz, trustee for 3-year term. The next meeting of the auxiliary will be Wednesday, February 5 at the home of Mrs. Wiley at 8 p.m. Social Evening Held by Women Scottish Rite Women's club met Monday night in the Ma sonic temple, for a social evening. Bridge, pinochle, and ca nasta were played, with the bridge high score going to Mrs. Howard C. Goldsmith, the pinochle award to Mrs. George W. Thomas, Ashland, and the canasta prize to Mrs. Neville Eldridge.. Mrs. Menno S. Bachman was a guest of the club. The Scottish Rite Masons held a stated meeting in the council, with Commander Lloyd E. Hamlin officiating, and a stated meeting in the consistory with John C. Smith presiding. Roy W. McNeal and cast, under the direction of Menno S. Bachmann, conferred the fourth degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry upon a class of candidates. The men joined the ladies for the coffee hour. Refreshments were served at 'ables centered with long, low white baskets of laures tinus and upright heather. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Fred W.. Scheffel, Mrs. W. Morris Boughner, and Mrs.. Basil H. Lindley. The next meeting, Febru ary 10, will be the annual valentine party. It will be a potluck dinner at 6:30 o'clock, in the Masonic temple, with Mrs. Frank Salyers as chair man. All wives, widows, mothers, daughters, and sisters of Scot tish Rite Masons are welcome. County Authors Is Program Topic Mrs. Amos Willits will dis muss "Jackson County Books and Authors" when College Women's club meets Satur day, February 8, at the home of Mrs. C. G. Van Valzah, 15 Geneva street. Mrs. D. R. Sloan will be social chairman. Miss Martha Luther. Clothing from Burelson's will also be chosen by Mi. Taylor and will be modeled by Mrs. Robert M. Turner and Miss Midi Luther, and Russ "Jamison will choose styles at Leon's store to be worn in the show by Mrs. Lon Skinner and Miss Diane Lewis. Mayor John Snider will select 'clothing at Pick's store for Mrs. Jack Edson and Miss Barbara Whalin, and at the Fashionette J. P. Rowan will choose frocks to be worn by Mrs. Billy D. Blackstone. Funds from the important spring social event will be used to support the league's kindergarten for hard-of-hear-ing children. Doney-Yarbrough Rites Announced Cave Junction Miss Mar jorie Yarbrough of Cave Junction became the bride of Donald M. Doney in a cere mony held Sunday at the home of the bridegroom's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Doney, Wonder, Ore. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Elsie Yarbrough of Eureka, Calif. The Rev. Mark Mack, Mer lin, read the services. Attend ing the couple were the bride's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Yarbrough, Cave Junction. A blue afternoon dress with white accessories and a cor sage of white carnations was worn by the bride. Following the wedding, rel atives and friends remained at the Doney home for an in formal reception. The tradi tional wedding cake was cut and served by the newly married couple. Bouquets of vari-colored flowers decor ated the Doney home. The bride attended school in the valley and later grad uated from Santa Rosa high school. Mr. Doney also grew up in the Illinois valley and is employed as a logger. Mr and Mrs. Doney are at home to their friends at Rough and Ready Flats on the Redwood highway. Church Ceremony Marries Couple Cave Junction Miss Dar lene Wylie. daughter of Mrs. Louise Wylie, Kerby, and Ted Milner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Milner, also of Kerby, were married Saturday, Jan uary 18 at the Assembly of God church in Kerby. The Rev. LeRoy O. Nidever read the services, which were attended by .nembers of the family. Both Mr. Milner and his bride are students at Illinois Valley high school. They are making their home in Kerby. Ceremony In South Weds Pair Cave Junction Miss Don na J. Zimmerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Zimmer man, route 1, Box 324, Cave Junction, became the bride of Stanley Tellyer of Albu querque, N.M., in a ceremony held Friday, Jahuary 10 at 8 p.m. at Roger William Bap tist church, Los Angeles, Calif. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Tellyer of Albuquerque. The Rev.' Henry Woodard read the double ring services. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hembree of Covina, Calif., sister and brother-in-law of the bride's mother. For her wedding the bride wore the gown in which her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Krauss, was married December 22. rThe white brocade taffeta dress in ballerina style was Iworn with a shoulder length j veil caught with simulated 'orange blossoms. Her bou quet was of white rosebuds, centered with a white orchid. As something new, she wore a set of matched pearls, a gift from her husband. Mrs. Zimmerman chose for her daughter's wedding a gray faille coat-dress with gray and black accessories and a cor sage of white rosebuds. Mrs. Alfred Hembree, who served as matron of honor, wore a blue jersey afternoon dress and white rosebud cor sage. The bride's grandmoth er, Mrs. G. C. Tillery, Cave Junction, also attended the wedding. The newly married couple flew to San Francisco for a short honeymoon before pro ceeding to El Paso, Tex., where Mr. Tellyer is employ ed with his father's firm, the Tellyer Pipe company. For her going away cos tume Mrs. Tellyer chose a coral colored jersey chemise dress with black accessories and the orchid from her wed ding bouquet. The bride was salutatorian of her Illinois Valley High school graduating class of 1956. She had been employed at Beneficial Finance com pany, Los Angeles. A wedding dinner was giv en for the couple Wednesday, January 15, by Mr. and Mrs. Hembree. Mrs. Zimmerman and Mrs. Tillery returned to Cave Junction January 14 after spending eight days with Mr. and Mrs. Hembree at Covina. To Elect Officers for the coming year will be elected at a meet ing of Medford Barracks, Vet erans of World War I, and auxiliary Wednesday, Febru ary 5 at 8 p.m. in the Girl's Community club. Refresh ments will follow the meeting. Dinner Planned . At Mon Desir Medford Welcome Wagon club is planning a dinner for Thursday, February 6 at Mon Desir inn, Central Point. The chairman,' Mrs. Edward Reit zenstein, asks members to call her at SPring 2-8252, no later than February 3, for reserva tions. Last week the club's bridge session was held at the home of Mrs. John Richardson, 644 Palm street. Twenty attended. Mrs. Harold Gilbert and Mrs. William Bennett won prizes. Refreshments were served. Lodge to Hold Memorial Rites Memorial services for Mrs. Floyd Murray will be held at the Monday, February 5, meeting of Olive Rebekah lodge to be held at the Odd Fellows lodge at 8 p.m. Serving committee will be Mrs. John Brummond, Mrs. Rosa Young, Mrs. Walter L. Wilson, and Mrs. Eva Ware. New officers will preside at the Thursday, February 6, meeting of the Past Noble Grands of 'Olive Rebekah lodge. Officers include Mrs. Clara M. Franklin, president, Mrs. Shirrell Doty, vice-president, and Mrs. William Sweet, secretary-treasurer. The meeting will be held in the Girls Community club at 8 p.m. Refreshment com mittee includes Mrs. Rosa Young, Mrs. Eber T. Weed, Mrs. Orpha Wendell and Mrs. Lee F. Willits. Program on Music Planned for Club Oscar Bjorlie, professor of music at Southern Oregon col lege, will speak to the Griffin Creek School Mothers club Wednesday, February 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the school cafe teria. He will speak on music ap preciation ' agd building a family music album; Stephen Whipple, music instructor at the Griffin Creek school, will have several members of his music department play two selections. Refreshment will be served by mothers of children in the fourth grade with Mrs. Rus sell Fowler and Mrs. Louis Partsafas in charge. ' Baby sitting services will be provided. Wife of Pastor To Be Speaker Mrs. H. E. Hamme will be guest speaker at the meeting of the Zion Lutheran church, Fourth and Oakdale avenue, at 8 p.m. Mrs. Hamme, wife of the the Rev. H. E. Hamme, pastor of Hope Lutheran church, Klamath Falls, spent seven years in the Hawaiian Islands while Mr. Hamme assisted in the rebuilding of the Lutheran church following World War II.
