o o 0 o o Findleys Hosts At Dinner Party D.-. ;,nd Mrs. Dwight II. Find Icy. O.d Stage road, were hosts Friday evening for a dinner party at their home. This is one of a series of small parties which the Findleys re giving this sea son. Last week they honored Sir. and Mrs. Howard Keeler, Se attle. Wash., at a small dinner. The Keders. the Findleys and a number of other Medford coup les were together on a cruise to New Zealand one winter, and enjoyed being together at the Findley home. Earlier this fall the first of the party series wai given by the Findleys and Dr. and Mrs. B. L. Lageson. Here for the holidays will be the Findleys two daughters and their husbands. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bartz, and Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Bender Jr. Their son. Jack, is a student at Southern Oregon college. Mr. and Mrs. Bartz will return north after Christmas, and the Benders, who will also visit Mr. Epriders' parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Bender, Wester lund drive, will continue south. Married Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Snell, whose wedding took place No vember 30, in Reno, Nev., are making their home at 407 Plaza apartments, Medford. Mrs. Snell is the former Mrs. Leora Robin son of this city. Mr. Snell is on the staff of Siskiyou National Forest serv ice, and is assigned to the Grants Pass office. THMS, Mrs. Aubrey M. Hill. Ashland, (at left) attended the recent Christmas charity ball of Medford Junior Service league wearing a headdress which had originally been made by her mother as a centerpiece for the Thanks giving dinner table. It was of brown and yellow tones and had four small artificial candles which were lighted from a battery. The headdress matched Mrs. Hill's gown which was brown with a band of pale fur on, the bodice. When Mrs. Hill greeted Dr. and Mrs. Harry Danielson. all three laughed heartily over the effect which the headdress produced. Mr. and Mrs. B. About 75 attended the party. Shirrell Doty was chairman. Saturday afternoon the bank staff gave the annual party for children of staff members. This is always held in the lobby of the bank after working hours. Four Initiated By Honor Society Ashland Four Medford stu dents were recently initiated into Beta Lambda chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon at Southern Ore gon college. They are Miss Yvonne Field, Herbert Colley, Keith Lockhard and Gordon Mueller. Gamma Theta Upsilon is a na tional fraternity for those in terested in the field of geography. Gails to Have Holiday Guests Here for the holidays at the Budd Gail residence, 1596 Bid die road, will be Mrs. Gail's mother, Mrs. Laurence Penning ton, Redding, Calif., who will arrive Sunday, and the Gail's oldest son, Tom, a senior at Wil lamette university, who is ex pected Monday. Sixteen persons will attend Christmas dinner at the Gail's Wednesday. In addition to the Gail family and Mrs. Penning ton, guests include Charles Gail, Wimer. father of Budd Gail, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gerritsen, Jack sonville highway. Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Smith, Whitman avenue. The Gerritsen's two children will also be at the home of their aunt and uncle for Christmas and the Smiths, cousins of Mrs. Gail, will spend their first Christmas in the valley. They moved to Medford from Pendle ton two weeks ago with their three children. Tom Gail will spend nearly two weeks in Medford before returning to college. Collins Family Gives Two Parties Among holiday parties last week were two given by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Collins and Mr. Col lins' mother, Mrs. J. C. Collins. Friday afternoon the two wom en invited friends to the Hugh Collins' home, 40 Glen Oak court, for a tea which honored Miss Margaret and Miss Miriam Collins and Mrs. L. P. Smith, San Diego, Calif. The Misses Collins are sisters of J. C. Col lins, and Mrs. Smith is Mrs. Hugh Collins' mother. All three women are spending the holi days here. Following the tea, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Collins were hosts for their annual eggnog party. Holiday greenery and candles made the Collins' home festive for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Littrell are entertaining today at a fam ily Christmas party at their home, 140 Greenway circle. Guests will be Mr. Littrell's sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Littrell and children, Jo and David, Grants Pass; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lit trell and children, Mickie and Mike, and Robert Littrell, and his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rice, all Medford. Monday Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Littrell will leave for Petaluma, Calif., where they will spend Christmas with Mrs. Littrell's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Brainerd, and their two daughters. Later they will continue to Pasadena. Calif., to attend the annual Rose Bowl game. They will be joined there by other Medford couples plan ning to attend the football class ic. The Littrells plan to be absent for several weeks on a winter vacation, and during their ab sence their house will be occu pied by Mrs. L. L. Sanders, for merly of this city. Mrs. Sanders is coming to Medford from Woodburn, Ore., where she has been with her son and daughter-in-law. jMedford Couple Married in Reno J Mr. and Mrs. Eldon M. Tolle : are making their home at 833 J West Jackson avenue, following j their wedding Saturday, Decem I ber 14, in Reno, Nevada. The bride is the former Bernadine McCain, 463 DeBarr Avenue, Medford. a daughter of Mr.' and Mrs. C. A. Schmelzer, Lancaster, Ohio. Mr. Tolle is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tolle, Medford, and has been making his home at 1065 Stewart avenue, here. The ceremony was held at 2:15 o'clock in the afternoon with Justice of the Peace William Beemer officiating. For her wedding the bride wore a two piece baby blue knit suit with navy accessories. Her flowers were pink carnations. The bride is a waitress at Henry's Broiler in Medford. Mr. Tolle is a salesman with Hayes Distributing company here.
