Medford Scouts See Sights in New York (Editor's note: The following letter was written for the Mail Tribune by Stan Dowson, one of 63 Crater Lake area Boy Scouts who attended the annual Boy Scout Jamboree at Valley Forge.) We just left New York and are headed for Detroit. In New York, the majority of the scouts saw Rockefeller Center, Radio City, where most of us took in a movie, "The Silk Stockings," with the Rockettes and the United States air force. We also took a tour around Manhattan, attended a ball game and visited Coney Island. New York was truly a great exper ience with subways, lights and skyscrapers. It is good to be heading home to the west and we'll be home in a week. Stan Dowson, Reporter.
