Joseph Klein was reported in critical condition today with in ternal injuries and a fractured right arm. A hospital spokesman said his chances for recovery were good. Klein crashed through a sky light and corrugated metal false roof on a secend-story setback which broke his fall. Police said they found Klein's wallet, watch, glasses and neatly-folded suit jacket in his loth-story of fice. His wife said Klein had been having "business troubles." Frances once was one of Hol lywood's top young stars but she became one of its most tragic. In 1943 and 1944 she was in volved in a series of stormy court appearances for drunken driving and other charges. For some of the past 14 years she was a patient at a state mental hospital at Steilacoom, Wash. Three months ago Frances turned up working at the hotel, a job she won via a newspaper want ad. A United Press story about her brought a flood of job offers and Frances Farmer this week begins a new life.
