She was a member of the Corvallis Methodist church and was active in church affairs. She had made her home in Jacksonville and Ashland for many years before moving to Corvallis. Vandenburg. j Among the 12 regular jurors is Mrs. Hazel Gaylord. foreman of the Benny Belgard all-woman jury who found Belgard guilty of voluntary manslaughter less than two weeks ago in the death of his wife. Court officials ex plained that Mrs. Gaylord is serving on the Ball jury because they "ran out" of qualified jur ors. Ball is on trial for his life in the shooting of his wife, Fran cis, 35, in llieir Chiloquin homp April 4. Ball was accused of shooting her five times with 3 .22 caliber target pistol. Young Milnes said lie has been receiving a good picture and sound from stations in Phoenix, and Tucson. Ariz.: El Paso and Amarillo. Tex.; Rapid City. The theft, reported bv Hiram Vern Martin, owner of the store. occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tues day, police said. The money was taken from a cash drawer near the front of the establishment, police reported. Entry was gained to the build ing by breaking a pane of glass through which the window was unlocked and opened, officers said. Police are continuing an in vestigation. Electric Wire Jarred Down by Large Truck An electric California Oregon Power company wire was jarred to the pavement yesterday when it was struck on Bartlett St. be tween Main and Eighth sts. by a large truck carrying new mod el cars, according to city police. Copco repair crews reported it was not a "hot wire" and was repaired early today. Op erator of the truck was John Robert Scott, of Anaheim, Calif , police said.
