Richard Neuoerger (D- Ore.) said. The commission also denied a request made by the Save the McKenzie Association for a pub lic hearing on the extension. "I regret failure of the com mission to back- scenic outdoor values of the state by outright denial of license extension but regard the decision as partial victory in our effort to preserve the Marsh area since the com mission policy has been opposed to more than one extension," Neuberger said. The Oregon Democrat added that if efforts to finance con struction are blocked until July 1, 1958, any additional exten sion seems unlikely.
