0 -Kaufman-Russell Ceremony Held in Hillsboro Church Miss Marilyn Mae Russell became the bride of Robert Gould Kaufman in a ceremony held Saturday, November 10, in Hills boro, Ore. The Rev. C, Gene Albertson performed the evening rites at First Methodist church tended. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Russell, 120 Kwtown street, Medford,-and the bridegroom is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles L. Kaufman, Forest Grove, Ore. The newlyweds traveled to Pensacola, Fla., by way of San Francisco, Las Vegas and. Ne braska, and in Pensacola the bridegroom will enter the. Unit- Hillsboro. About 250 guests at- were of pistachio taffeta. Mr. Russell gave his daughter in marrige. and Richard M. Kaufman, Forest Grove, was best man for his brother. Ushers were Donald Miller, Salem and William Farr, Portland, Beta Theta Pi fraternity brothers of the bridegroom, Norman Caspar, Oakland, Dave Easton, Forest ed States Naval Air Force for I na olan jet pilot training. Her finger-t i p length veil was held by a tiara of sequins and pearls, and she carried her nurse's Bible cov ered with satin and topped with a white orchid. The bride's honor attendants were Mrs. Dennis McCoy, Hills boro, and Mis Nancy Kay Rus-. sell, her sister. Other attend ants were Mrs. Norman Caspar, Oakland, Calif., Miss -Karen Kaufman, sister of the bride groom. Miss Margaret Frohardt, vided by Mrs. William Martin and Ron Clark, soloist. Church decorations were of white chrys anthemums and ivy. The pew ends were marked with ribbons and bouquets; candles and chrysanthemums were arranged in the side windows. The reception which followed was given by Dr. and Mrs. Kauf man at their home in Forest Grove. Serving the wedding cake were the bride's aunts, Mrs. Louis Balsiger and Mrs. Scth Hannen, and pouring cof fee were Mrs. J. P. Boyle and Mrs. Jack O. Elerick, also aunts 0$' 1 Stockton. Kathy and Susan Yanttii, cousins of the bride from Hillsboro, were flower girls. The maid-of-bonor wore a town of pistachio green taffeta with emerald green velveteen cummerbund and long sash. Her satin pumps were of matching emerald green and her bandeau was of emerald green velveteen. She carried a muff of matching green velveteen and a nosegay of white chrysanthe mums. The matron-of-honor and other attendants wore gowns of white styled identical to that of the maid-of-honor. with' green pumps, cummerbunds and sashes and they, also carried the green -velveteen muffs with chrysanthemum nosegays. The two flower girls' dresses For the wedding and recep tion the bride's mother wore a beige lace cocktail dress with pink and brown accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride groom's mother wore a cocktail dress of wedgewood blue taffeta with pink and blue accessories and orchid corsage. The bride was graduated from Medford High school and later attended Willamette university where she was a member of Delta Gamma social sorority and Alpha Lambda Delta, na tionl honor society for fresh men women students. She was graduated in August from Sam uel Merritt hospital, Oakland, Calif., and for the past two months has been on the staff of Sacred Heart hospital here. (Grove photo). Home Service Weds Couple Miss Viola M. Shepherd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Shepherd. 2780 Lone Pine road, became the bride of Robert E. Meyers, son of Mrs. Carl F. Meyers, 15 Ashland avenue, in a ceremony at the home of the bride's parents Saturday, Octo ber 27, at 4 o'clock in the after noon. Bishop Dwaine Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiated at the dou ble ring service, attended by close friends and relatives of the couple. For her wedding the bride wore a grey suit with pink ac cessories. Her corsage was two white orchids. Miss Sharon Lilly attended the bride. She wore a pink suit with white accessories and a cor sage of pink rosebuds and white carnations. Fritz J. Ruch served as best man. The house was decorated with white chrysanthemums and oth er fall flowers. A reception was given in the church recreation hall that eve ning at 8 o'clock by the bride's parents. The hall was decorated with fall flowers and wedding refreshments were served. More than 125 guests attended. Kurt Feidler sang during the reception.
