If you ever come across a pic ture by Twachtman under simi lar circumstances, buy it. Their value range anywhere from $200 or $300 to $2,000 or $3,000 At a sale in 1935. for example. his paintings brought from $500 to $3,100 each. - ABOUT VALUE OF MAPS linen backing, I studied the legend. . The map was dated 1879. The draftsman was C. Roeser. J. Bien, one of the most noted men in the field of cartography of his day, was the one who had done the lithography.
