If a girl, my husband wants her named Genevieve. Have there been many famous women so named? A. Well, there was St. Genevieve who is the patron saint of Paris. Offhand I can't call many famous modern Gene vieves to mind. However, there is that brilliant actress Gene vieve Tobin. Also, the clever dress designer, Genevieve Fath. Also, there was a very popular aong titled, "Sweet Genevieve." . . . Q. What poem includes the passage about "A primrose by a river's brim"? A.' That is from a lengthy poem by Wordsworth titled, "Peter Bell.' The oft quoted passage is in full: "A promrose by a river's brim A yellow primrose was to him And nothing more." Among the Married How long should a married career woman absent herself from the office on the occasion of giving birth to a child? There seems to be a wide difference of opinion as to this. Some wom en have worked up to a day or so before the birth and returned to the office a week or so after Two-thirds of the policewomen on the New York City force are married. They are permitted to take as much as 18 months ma ternity leave. It is believed by many experts on child rearing that during the first months of an infant's life the mother should always be near at hand That to leave a baby too long in the hands of others than its mother is a serious handicap to the child's future health and gen eral well being. Benson said in a television interview, "Reporters Roundup" Sunday, that "I have never felt that there was any unrest among farmers that some have indi cated ... "I feel that farmers under stand this problem much better than some of us give them credit for." there are exceptions.
