My picture con tract for "My Son Nero" was signed in one of the rooms off the lobby. If the walls and tables could talk, history, I wager, would have to be rewritten. I Remember without noticing the queen of Grange Roxy Ann Grange Mr. and Mrs. Harold Black burn and Mr. and Mrs. Van Gordon, members of North Pa cific Grange in Josephine coun ty, were guests at the last, regu lar meeting of Roxy Ann Grange March 16. We were also glad to welcome our new members, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Larson, who formerly lived in Harney county. Among our guests at the previous meet ing March 2, were Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lewin of Phoenix Grange, whose names were omitted by mistake. The last Home Economics club I remember last year when I , meeting was at the home of Mrs. was living in this hotel a friend 1 Glen Rader on Crown ave., with of mine was in a real rush be cause of a very important busi ness appointment. Handsomely dressed and with briefcase in hand, he hurriedly departed. Ten minutes later I saw him sitting at the sidewalk cafe with his very important business appoint ment. As I passed through the throngs of huddled heads, they did not belong to lovers but to businessmen, so obviously most of these tiny tables were serving as offices. Along this street and in the Excelsior, words such as "Ciao" Mrs. Leslie Shaw, cohostess There were 18 members present and they made plans and work ed on articles for a bazaar to be held some time in the fall months. At the last square dance at the Grange hall, there were 11 squares present. Another one will be held on April 7 with Gordon Kershaw and Kenneth Howe calling. Next regular Grange meeting will be Friday, April 6, with the young people of the Grange on the serving committee.
