Curtain time is sched uled for 8 o'clock. The cast in cludes the sixty-member high school choir, with specialty num bers by a selected group of high school students, and an orches tra ensemble that will provide the instrumental a c c o mpani ment. - The general locale of this de- New Chairmen To Be Introduced A luncheon followed by cards is planned by the Lady, Elks for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. The new chairman for the coming year will be introduced. Mrs. Ed Pease is luncheon chairman and Mrs. Larry Juni per is in charge of decorations. Prizes will be awarded for high and low in cards. Wives of all Elk club mem bers are invited. Two Medford Women Visit in California Mrs. Charles W. Tennant, 1008 Winchester avenue, and Mrs. Wilbur Hawley, 824 West Four teenth street, will return today after spending a week in Cali fornia. The two visited the Haw ley's son, Bill, who is taking bas ic Air Force training at Park Air Force base near Hayward. He entered the USAF in February. The two women made the trip south by car. Breakfast Planned For Next Sunday Ladies' Mounted troop is plan ning a "buckaroo breakfast" Sunday, April 8, at the Posse clubhouse. Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. . Mrs. Roy Vague, chairman, will be assisted by Mrs. Mac Lemmon and Mrs. Sam Keim. Breakfast will be followed by an impromptu playday in prep aration for the summer season. Special guests included Col. Ted Hopkins, Rogue River, na tional deputy chief of staff and department chairman of Oregon cottage and poppy sale and Mrs. Hopkins, department president. Also present were Mrs. Nealy Williams and Mrs. Alice St. Laurent, Del Rogue auxiliary, Grants Pass; Mrs. Dale Sawyer and Mrs. Vernon House, Steel head auxiliary. Shady Cove; Mrs. Thomas Lafferty, district president of No. 7, Mrs. Floyd Crosslin, Mrs. B. Riggs, Mrs. Iva Blackwell, Mrs. Roy Rogers and Mrs. Blanche Huffman, Wal ter A. Phillips auxiliary, Ash land; and Mrs. Ivan Lusk. presi dent, Mrs. Russell Zundcl, Mrs. N. R. Walters, charter president of Crater Lake auxiliary; Mrs. Albert Hall, an early president; Mrs. O- O. DeBerry, Mrs. Pearl Braunig, former president of a California auxiliary and Mrs. Fred Lawrence of Crater Lake auxiliary. The' Ashland group extended an invitation for next year's annual affair. Mrs. Hopkins spoke to the group, emphasizing the meaning of membership in the VFW and auxiliary. She said individuals are privileged to be members and help with the national bene fits for which veterans are quali fied and deserve. Get Together Club Announces Luncheon Get Together club will meet Wednesday, April 4, at 1 p.m. in Moose hall. A potluck luncheon will be served. The third and final scene is set in the colorful and exciting Master Toymaker's, Workshop. This kindly gentleman is played by David Eaton; his faithful as sistant, Grumio, by Everett Stricklin. Other cast members include Mike Brant, Joyce Greg ory, Gerald Mallams, Maxine Hamner, Shirley Tisdel, Ellen Kay McUne, and Carol Denman. Mrs. Lorraine Ev ensen is music director for the Medford public school system. The directors believe that this major production promises to provide delightful entertainment for those who 'attend. Tickets may be purchased at Purucker Piano house, the Music Mart, at Medford Senior High school of ice or from members of the cast. Proceeds from the production will finance a short trip for the choir later in the spring. The two women are Mrs. Charles Bird, magazine chairman for Medford Council of Parent Teacher associations, and Mrs. Cecil Martin, magazine chair man for Jackson Parent-Teacher association. .News of the awards was re ceived here from Mrs. Floyd Barrett, Oregon Congress maga zine chairman. A promotion certificate will be presented to Mrs.. Bird, Mrs. Barrett - having judged her efforts to promote magazine sales the most out standing among the 33 city PTA councils in the state. As Mrs. Martin's award. Jack son PTA will be presented a certificate of - accomplishment for having sold the largest num ber oje magazine subscriptions among the state's PTA units. Both women will have their pictures published in the Ore gon Parent - Teacher .bulletin and a brief history of the Jack son unit will also be published. During the annual convention, they will be honored guests at a luncheon for magazine chair men, and their awards will be presented. - Mrs. Roland Holmes, chairman of the Medford Council of Parent-Teacher associations, states that other Medford units also made an excellent record in the contest. Roosevelt and Lincoln units tied for second place witfy one of the larger Portland units. Tea Planned . S. Kellogg. , He and the elder Kelloggs are to - leave soon from the east coast for a tour of European countrfes, returning July 19. Their itinerary will include England, Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy and Denmark. Mr. Kellogg, a board member of the National Lawn Tennis associa tion, will take part in various international tournaments while abroad.
