Hardy (Brainerd photo) Miss Norma Jean Huffman Bride of Lauren A ceremony held Saturday, March 10, at First Methodist churcja wedded Miss Norma Jean Huffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everette Huffman. 412 Ben son street, to Lauren D. Hardy, son of Mrs. Eleanor Hardy, 607 Sherman street. The Rev. J." Thomas Dixon read the candle light ceremony at 8 o'clock in the evening in the presence of about 125 guests. Mr. Huffman gave his daugh ter in marriage. Her wedding town was fashioned with bodice f Chantilly lace and skirt of net over satin ending in a train. Her net veil was held by a crown of seed pearls and she carried an orchid with stephan otis. Miss Judy Manzer, cousin of the bride, from Cottage Grove, Ore., was honor attendant. She wore a frock of turquoise color and her bouquet and headband were of daisies dyed to match the gown. Mrs. Richard FarrelL Miss Kay Ferris and Miss Sharon Huffman, sister of the bride, were additional attendants. Mrs. Farrell wore green, Miss Ferris blue and Miss Huffman a yellow gown, and their flowers were daisies dyed to match their frocks. Patricia Huffman, another sister of the bride, was ring bearer. Her frock was of lavender net. Leon Reisinger, cousin of the bride, was best man for Mr. Hardy, and ushers were Paul Weaver, Ken Walker and Owen Thornbourgh. . Pink and white gladiolus and candles decorated the church for the wedding. Kurt Fiedler ; and Mrs. Clinton Phelps were solo ists,' and Douglas Stewart was organist. The reception which followed was in the church parlors. Mrs. David Doran and Mrs. Lyle White cut the wedding cake and poured. Serving were Miss Susan Brill, Miss Shari Grivas, Miss Donna Mallams, Miss Ann Baker and Miss Emily Masterson. The wedding cake was made by Mrs. Loyal Harper. For the wedding and recep tion the bride's mother wore a dress of navy blue and white with white carnation corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a pastel, pink dress with corsage of white carnations. The newlyweds traveled to San Francisco for their honey moon and are living at 2.05 Btairt's Shop at the Pink Store Where You Park at the Door Mrs. Ira Canfield Named Matron of Roxy Ann Court Mrs. Ira D. Canfield was elected royal matron of Roxy Ann court, Order of Amaranth, at a stated meeting Thursday evening. Others named to office were Clarence Harwood, royal patron; Mrs: V. A. Turpin, asso ciate matron; Ole Skoog, asso ciate patron; Lloyd Caton, treas urer; Mrs. Carl H. W. Oestreich, secretary; Mrs. Marshall M. Day, conductress; Marshall M. Day, trustee three years, and Earl Sweek, trustee two years. J. J. Kennedy, grand associate patron, Charles F. Hoppe, grand commissioner, Mrs. Charles F. Hoppe, grand representative to Ohio and Ira D. Canfield, grand sword bearer, were given special escort and congratulated on their new grand offices. The past roy al matrons and patrons were also escorted and introducd. Mrs. Canfield, royal matron elect, announced open installa tion of officers would be held April 7, at 8 p.m. in the Medford Masonic Temple. Among the distinguished vis itors were Mrs. Hazel Harrison, past royal matron of Victory court, Seattle, and Mrs. James Miller, past royal matron of Des tiny court, Tacoma. Reservations Open For Annual Event Though many reservations have been placed for the annual St. Anne's Altar society Easter Monday luncheon there are a number available the committee announced Saturday. Those who expect to attend the event should call their reservations to Mrs. W. F. Cowning, telephone, 3-2974. Mrs. Raymond Wise, assisted by Mrs. Raymond Miksche and Mrs. Clark Thomas are in charge of decorations and flowers; Mrs. Darrel Levens is in charge of tallies for card games, and Mrs. Fred T. Burich is in charge of the games. Prizes are being planned by Mrs. J. C. Miller Jr., while Mrs. W. F. Scruggs is head of the food committee. Doing the pub licity is Mrs. Anthony R. Manno. Act IV Phone jf 2-7113 oftCJsUm r I DRUG CENTRE flplivprv Nl mm3r Sorority Pledges 1 Give Party for Members, Guests Pledges of Alpha Beta chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, were hosteses for a party given for members, their husbands and escorts, at Miss Pat's Dance Studio Satur day, March 3. Theme of the party was "Tele vision" and a committee' headed by Mrs. Paul Garren, chairman, assisted by MisS Joan Pence, Mrs. Herbert Robbins and Mrs. Frederick Kruggel Jr., decor ated the large hall with spring flowers, balloons, and television properties. Garlands of daisies circled the room and draped the doorways. Sprays of acacia formed the centerpiece for the buffet table, and cascaded from piano and window tops. Photo graphs of actresses and actors, famous on television, were in terspersed : with advertisements for local and national articles. The stage was set with two blackboards for the popular "Do You Trust Your Wife" show. Chairs were arranged as in a television studio for the audience consisting of eighteen couples. Mrs. Robert Hubbard opened the show by presenting her own script of "Wide, Wide Medford" which included all those present and touchd upon their hobbies and occupations. Miss Alpha Clinkenbeard was mistress of ceremonies for "Do You Trust Your Wife," , and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Thompson were winners of this contest. The program was announced by Mrs. L. K. Morris. The most hilarious event of the evening was the "Pinky Lee Balloon Race" with all present participating. Miss Joan Pence, chairman, and her assistant, Miss Rita Car dona, conducted games with humorous prizes for the winners. Square dancing was enjoyed the remainder of the evening with Fred Griffith as caller. Miss Cardona received a prize. The Dutch lunch served throughout the evening was planned and prepared by Mrs. Herbert Robbins, Mrs. Herbert Haglund and Miss Patricia Vail.. Mrs. O. A. Eden, sponsor of the chapter, and her husband at tended. Mrs. Kruggel was general chairman of the event. Miss Dew is a freshman secretarial science stu dent at Linfield. She is a mem ber of Kappa Alpha Phi soror ity and is secretary of the fresh man class. She was also a mem ber of the Intercollegiate Knights Sweetheart court earlier this year. Sojourners Plan Luncheon, Show; Guest Day Events Medford Sojourners' club will have a salad luncheon and style show Thursday, March 22, at 12:30 p.m. at the Medford hotel. Guest day will be observed at this - meeting.
