o O FOUR MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Sunday, March 18, 1956 Prospect Women Plan Annual Show As Event of May Prospect Plans for an an nual style show and luncheon were made by St. Martha's guild women attheir last meeting held at the home of the chairman, Mrs. Leo Hoag. The event will be held Friday, May 4 at the high school auditorium in Pros pect. Child care will be provided without charge and the styles will be spring fashions furnished through Man n's Department store of Medford. Style show chairmen are Mrs. Lewis Clevenberg and Mrs. O. E. Stone. ., An oriental theme will be used. Mrs. Donald . Vaughn will again be mistress of ceremonies. A regular guild rneeting set for March. 15 was postponed un til March 22 in the church. Wom en will make puppets for chil dren who will be patients at Rogue Valley Memorial hospital. Moody at 7 o'clock evening rites read at Pilgrim Holiness church Wed nesday, March 14. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Phillips, Wrang ell, Alaska, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Moody, 6121 Crater Lake high way. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Sherman Moore. Miss Deanna Mitchell, Jack sonville, was bridesmaid and Thomas Rupp, Central Point, was best man. For her wedding the bride wore a powder blue suit with white accessories and her flow ers were a white orchid with hyacinth blossoms. She was giv en in marriage by Joe Fosser, family friend. Miss Mitchell wore a blue suit with white accessories and her flowers were pink hyacinths. Miss Elaine Cox sang, accom panied by Miss Emma Jean Da vis. A wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fosser, attended by 10 guests. The bride was graduated from Jacksonville high school in 1954 and the bridegroom is a stud ent at Southern Oregon college. Both young people have lived in Jackson county for many years, and have known one another since childhood. 4 Skating Party A skating party at Rogue Val ley Ballroom is planned for Wednesday, March 21, by Med ford Jaycettes. Point Central Point Lady Lions will hold a business meeting Tuesday, March 20 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Wen dell Panter, the president. Mrs. Panter and the secretary, Mrs. Art Rupp, visited the Phoenix Lions auxiliary March 8. Faculty Member Now in Who's Who Ashland Miss Irene Hollen beck, SOC faculty member and vice-president of the National Association of Biology Teach ers, has received notice of her inclusion in the 1955-56 edition of Who's Who in American Edu cation which will appear in May. Miss Hollenbeck has long been active in professional circles. This major choral work has not been presented in Medford since 1947, at which time it was -sung by the Rogue Valley chorus. The oratorio includes four ma jor choruses, including the thrill ing double chorus for divided choirs, and many fine solos, quartets and smaller ensemble numbers. Soloists for this pres entation include Mrs. Howard Bush, Mrs. Jack Harris, Mrs. Keith Krambeal, Mrs. Archie Pierce, Mrs. Lylee Schoppert, Dr. G. A. Dierdorff, H. S. Dan iels, Dr. J. S. Heatherington, and Dr. and Mrs. Milton Snow. The oratorio will be directed by Mrs. D. R. Adamson, with Mrs. R. A. Schuchard at the pipe organ and Mrs. Jerry Sherman at the piano. The public is in vited to attend. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Players to Give A AUW Program The March meeting of Med ford branch, American Associa tion of University Women will be held at the home of Mrs. Fred Burich, 2303 Hillcrest road, Wednesday, March 21 at 8 p.m. "Drama" will be the program subject for the evening according to Miss Jeraldyn Jerome, chair man. A group of players from the Footlighter's Work Shop con ducted this winter at St. Mary's High school will produce a one act play under the direction of Mrs. Stan Zapell to illustrate the theme. Hostesses for the meeting are Mrs. Jack Lewis, chairman as sisted by Mrs. Harry Chipman, Mrs. C. H. Herman, Mrs. Tom G. Polk, Mrs. John Dellenbeck and Mrs. Jeffery Shute. The nominating committee ap pointed by Mrs. Emerson Ander son, president, will report their slate of officers. On the committee are Mrs. William Knope, chairman; Mrs. Dorothy Dowson, Mrs. John Car negie and Mrs. Fred Ranking. Olive Rebekah Lodge Plans for Ceremony Plans for initiation ceremonies will be made by Olive Rebekah lodge members Monday, March 19 at 8 p.m., and pictures also will be taken at the meeting.
