The bride, a senior student at Medford High school, is a daughter of Mrs. Ken H. Robinson, 46 Windsor avenue, and the late Mr. Robinson. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cooper, 1916 Elm ave nue. About 100 guests attended the rites which were read by the Rev. George R. V. Bolster. TlieQ bride's ballerina length gown was styled with a lace bod ice over satin and her full skirt was of nylon net. A crown of lace and pearls held her shoulder length veil and she carried a bouquet of white rosebuds and steyhanotis. An uncle, C. R. Jes teiv Grants Pass, gave her in marriage. Mrs. James Haskins, the bribe's sister from Redondo Beach, Calif., was ' honor at tendant. Bridesmaids were Miss Vallerie Carreli, a cousin of the bride from Crescent City, Calif., Miss Peggy Lydiard and Miss Lee Stark. Mrs. Haskins and Miss Carrell's gowns were laven der and the others wore yellow. (Their flowers were violets with yellow carnations and they wore bands of yellow carnations in their hair. William Cooper, a brother of the bridegroom was best man. Ushers were Bev Carreli, Cres cent City and Edward Croucher, both uncles of the bride, and Donald G. LaBar. Altar bouquets were of white chrysanthemums and white snap dragons. Mrs. Ernest Conrad furnished the organ music. A reception was held in the rarish house. Cutting the cake as Miss Shirley Stafford and Miss Emily Masterson poured punch. Mrs. Jagk Gardner had charge of the guest book and Mrs. Robert Rae poured the cof fee, o For the occasion Mrs. Robin son wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and the bride groom's mother was dressed in a grey suit with red accessories. Both wore white camellia cor sages. The bridegroom will leave for Germany in May to serve for two years in the Army. He has been stationed with the Third Ar mored division at Ft. Knox, Ky. yiV t y? i The bride, senior at Medford High school, plans to join him later overseas. The bridegroom attended Cra ter High school. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Shoulderbrand, Klamath Falls, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Carreli and children, Valerie, Mary and Vicki, Crescent City, and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Jester, Grants Pass. Jeanene Findley Honored at Party Miss Ruth Jeanene Findley, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dwight H. Findley, whose wedding to Gerald Franklin Bartz of Port land is set for April 8, was hon ored at a "brunch" and bridal shower Friday, March 16. The event was held at the William McAllister home, 2615 Hillcrest road and cohostesses with Mrs. McAllister were Raymond Fish and Mrs. Bayard Getchell. About 20 guests attended and the bride-elect was presented miscellaneous gifts. Among those at the party was a sister of the bride, Mrs. Nat Bender Jr. Arrangements of daffodils, acacia and forsythia decorated the rooms. The Bartz-Findley rites will be held at First Presbyterian church. Croskell Family Home From South Central Point Mr. and Mrs. John F. Croskell and family, Central Point, have returned from a month's vacation in Mex ico and southern California. The Croskells have purchased the Frank Bruce residence, having recently moved from Eagle Point where they operated the Eagle market. Mr. Croskell is now associated with the Family Cooky com pany. . Couple Entertains At Cocktail Party .- Mr. and Mrs..H. B. Murphy, Ross lane, entertained last eve ning at a cocktail party at their home. Visiting this week end at the Murphy home are their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hamlin of Berkeley, Calif. Mrs. Hamlin is the former Miss Marilyn Murphy. Sunday, March 18. 195S Couple Married In Jacksonville; Bride Honored Jacksonville Miss Arlene Fitzgerald, Oakland, Calif., and Airman Jackie Dean McKinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Couch, Jacksonville, were married here March 6. The double-ring cere mony was performed in the As sembly of God church, Jackson ville. The Rev. W. D. Turnbull officiated. The bride wore a navy blue dress with red accessories. The couple met in Alameda, Calif., where Airman McKinney was stationed at the United States Naval Air base. He is now home on leave after having been assigned to duty at Barbor's Point, Hawaii. Airmf-.n McKin ney formerly attended Jackson ville High school. The newlyweds are at the Couch home on Highway 238. A bridal shower was held for Mrs. McKinney at the home of Mrs. M. W. Couch of Jackson ville. Cakes for the occasion were baked by Mrs. W. L. Mrs. McKinney was pre sented gifts. Student Spends Vacation Here; Entertains Group Miss Shirley Lynch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Lynch, 139 Kenwood avenue, arrived Friday evening from Eugene where she is a sophomore at University of Oregon. The stu dent also is chapter house man ager for Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She is majoring in biology. - T.ast vpsr shp was a student at Lewis and Clark college, Port4 land, and Friday evening after the choir from that college "pre sented a concert at First Presby terian church, she entertained five of the group at the Lynch home. Miss Lynch formerly was a member of the choir and the students she entertained were members at the same time. They are Miss Joan Forstrom, Roger Hansen, Miss Mary Jaque Jenks, Miss Gayle Enger and Al Hood. Couple to Wed At USAF Base Talent Mr. and. Mrs. Charles E. Ronsse, Wagner Creek road, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of " their daughter, Miss Erna Rose Helen Ronsse, to Rudolph Sun. " Miss Ronsse and her fiance, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Sun, Salinas, Calif., are both serving in Germany with the United States Air Force and the wedding is set for April 2 in 'the chapel of Ramstein Air Force base, Ramstein, Germany. The bride-elect is a graduate of Medford High school and has been in the USAF five years. She has the rank of airman first class. Mr. Sun is an airman sec ond class with the Twelfth Air Force band. He attended Col lege of the Pacific, majoring in music. State President To Visit Auxiliary Mrs. Edna Pierce, Tillamook, president of the Oregon auxil iary, Faternal Order of Eagles, will make an official visit to the Medford, auxiliary Thursday, Mf.rch 22. A nohostess dinner will be served at the Medford hotel at 6:30 p.m. The lodge meeting will open at 8 p.m. Can didates will be initiated. A luncheon is planned for Tuesday, March 20 at 12:45 p.m., by FOE auxiliary members when prospective members ; will at tend. Officers and drill team mem bers of the FOE auxiliary will meet for a practice session, Tues day, March 20 at 730 p.m. Easter rr Rites Wed Couple in Washington Mr. and Mrs. Ernest H. Fisk are living at 14 Merriam street, Walla Walla, Wash., following their wedding February 25 at the First Church of Nazarene in that city. The bride is the for mer Miss Winona P.-- Varner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Day ton Varnei', 527 Pennsylvania avenue. The Varners went north for the wedding. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Glen Fisk of Tacoma, Wash. 'The double-ring ceremony was read at 8 o'clock in the eve ning by the Rev. C. L: Rodda. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a full length gown of white antique taffeta with scalloped bateau neckline Lace insets trimmed the gown and the skirt was made with chapel train. A cap of lace, with seed pearl and sequin trim held her fingtertip length illus ion veil. She carried a white orchid encircled with white ros es and stephanotis. Miss Janice Fisk, Tacoma, a sis ter of the bridegroom, was maid of honor, and bridesmaid and bridesmatron were Miss Pat Gongwer and Mrs. Charles Mertsching, the latter of Seat tle. The attendants' taffeta gowns were styled identically with princess lines and bustle bows. Miss Fisk wore pink and the other attendants' gowns were spring green. All had head pieces of white carnations and they carried bouquets of the same flowers. John Corcoran, Oakland, was best man and ushers were San ford Koonz, Kenneth Hartwig, Lauren Bozarth and Harold Rimbey. Lighting the candles were Miss Galen Davis and Miss Sylvan Rimbey. The church was decorated with baskets of pink and white gladiolus and a white ribboned arch. A white window box in front of the archway was filled with white tulips and lighted white tapers. Other decorations included an anniversary candle. The reception was held at the YWCA lounge with Mrs. Ben Maxson as- reception hostess. Red roses decorated the main table at which Mrs. Frederic Da vis and Mrs. Delbert Driskell presided. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. A. S. Maxon and Mrs. Orval Rimbey. Mrs. Mary McEvoy served punch. Mrs. Harold White had charge of the guest book and Mrs. Floyd Ferris received the gifts. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Varner wore a gown of dusty rose lace with light pink accessories and an orchid cor sage. Mrs. Fisk chose a gown of beige lace with pink accessor ies and . orchid corsage. Mrs. Maude Bynum, -Medford, the bride's grandmother, was dress ed in steei gray with pink carna tion corsage. ' The bride is employed in the office of Dr. Frederic Davis. She is a Willamette university and University of Oregon medi cal school graduate, with a de gree in medical technology. The local Epsilon chapter will be hosts and Miss Delie Whisenant of the chapter is general convention chairman. Mrs. E. B. Aldrich, president of Eastern Oregonian Publica tion company, Pendleton, will be main speaker on the conven tion theme, "The Past is a Pro logue to the Future." Dr. Jessie Brodie, state honor ary member, will also be a speaker at the meetings. Convention headquarters will be at the Medford hotel and sev eral sessions will be held at the First Methodist church. A break fast will be served at the E. H. Hedrick Junior High school cafeteria. Fisk Medford Couple Honored Guests On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Helen brook, 505 Spencer street, ob served their 50th wedding anni versary Friday, March 9 at the home of their only daughter, Mrs. Ray Schumacher, 126 Port land avenue. Friends and neigh bors visited them on the occa sion. The couple was married on the same date in 1906 in Absaro kee, Mont. Later they moved to Billings where he was in the automotive business. In 1931 they moved to Southern Oregon and have lived here since. Mrs. Richard Grigsby is a granddaughter of the couple and they have two great grandchil dren. Mrs. Emerson Merrick and Mrs. Don Wiley served the gold en anniversary cake during the open house. STORE Mom at Central Medford Public Health Group Names Officers, Committee Heads Three of the top officers of the Jackson County Public Health association have been reelected to their posts and numerous others also were reappointed as committee chairmen. Mrs. Henry Padg ham was reelected to her second term as president during the an nual luncheon meeting Thursday at the Jackson hotel. Mrs. Allan Perry was reelected vice-president and Mrs. Ray Frisbie was again named secretary. Mrs. Richard Watson is the new treasurer. Mrs. Robert D. Minear headed the nominating committee. Mrs. M. O. Grove again was appointed seal sale chairman and Mrs. Bayard Getchell appointed as her cochairman. The new case finding chair man is Mrs. Chester Guches; and Mrs. Walter Bish was reappoint ed in charge of family life work with Mrs. Riley Cook, new co chairman. Reappointed to public relations was Mrs. George Rode and Mrs. Ivan Burton was reap pointed in charge of television work. Serving as finance chairman is Seth Bullis and Mrs. Ulrich was reappointed to , the Sparrow Memorial work. Miss Helen Bui lis was reappointed to patient care work and other reappoint ments include H. Miss Nancy Hamilfon Here for Vacation; Guests Entertained Among students visiting here from University of Dregon dur ing spring vacation , is Miss Nancy Hamilton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moore Hamilton, 43 Rose avenue". She arrived home Friday evening and drove south with three students from the same school en route to their homes in' California. They are Charles Osborne, Jack Baker and Don Anderson and the three were dinner guests Friday eve ning at the Hamilton home. Miss Hamilton will return to Eugene next Sunday.
