TWELVE MEDFORD (OREGON) ORDINANCE NO. (359 AN ORDINANCE declaring the assessment on property benefited for the cost of constructing a sanitary sewer line beginning at a point where the East and West Alley of Block 2, Capital Hill Addition to the City of Medford, Oregon, intersects the West line of valley view irive; tnence westerly through said alley to Sunrise Avenue; thence continue westerly across and through Eastwood Sub division to the City of Medford, Ore gon, to Oregon Terrace; thence south erly on Oregon Terrace 10 aaung Ave nue: thence westerly on saunz Ave u to a point opposite the North and South Alley of Block 12. Laurelhurst Addition to the City of Medford, Ore gon; thence southerly in and tnrougn said alley to an existing sanitary sewer line in the city ot Meaiora. THE CITY OF MEDFORD DOTH OBDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ' Section 1. WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore by Ordinance declare its intention to construct sanitary sewer line beginning at a point where the East and West Alley of Block 2, Capital Hill Addition to th Citv of Medford. Oregon, inter sects the West line of Valley View Drive; thence westerly through said alley to Sunrise Avenue; thence con tinue westerly across and through Eastwood Subdivision to the City of Medford, Oregon, to Oregon Terrace; thence southerly on Oregon Terrace to Saling Avenue; thence westerly on Saling Avenue to a point opposite tne North and South alley of Block 12. Laurelhurst Addition to the City of Medford. Oregon: thence southerly in and through said alley to an existing sanitary sewer line in the City of Medford, Oregon; and to assess the cost thereof upon each lot or part thereof adjacent to the' benefited by such improvement its proportionate share of tne cost of said improvement, and did fix the time and place for hearing protests against the construc tion of said improvement, and the assessment of the cost thereof, as aforesaid. And WHEREAS said Ordinance was duly posted and published a required by the Charter of the City. And - WHEREAS a meeting of the Coun cil was held at the time and place fixed in said Ordinance for the pur pose of considering any such protests, but no pretests were at such time, or at any time, made to. or received by the Council to the construction of said improvement, or the assessing of the cost thereof, as aforesaid, and said Council has considered the matter and deeming that said construction of said improvement was and is of material benefit to said City, and-that all the property to be assessed therefor will be benefited thereby to the extent of the probable amount of the respec tive assessments to be levied against said property, - did order, the con struction of said improvement. And WHEREAS, the cost of said improve ment has been and hereby is determ ined to be the sum of $53,351.13, NOW. THEREFORE, it is hereby determined that the proportionate share of the cost of construction of said improvement, on each parcel of property adjacent to said improve ment and benefited -thereby is the amount set opposite the description of each piece or parcel of land below, and that each piece or parcel of land is benefited by the construction of said improvement, to the full extent of the amount to set -opposite such piece or parcel and that the respec tive amounts represent the propor tional benefits of said Improvement to said respective parcels of property, and the Council does hereby declare each of the parcels of property de scribed below, and each of the same is hereby assessed the amount set opposite each respective description for the cost of the construction- of said improvement.
