Gibbs, Local Businessman, Dies Early Sunday Sabin A. Gibbs, 75, of Plaza apartments, former .manager of Mason Ehrman and company, died at a local hospital early Sunday morning. Mr. Gibbs was born at Meno minee, Mich., Feb. 15, 1881. He was a member of the Tacoma, Wash., Masonic lodge, the Scot tish Rite and Hillah Temple of the Shrine, and a member of the Medford Elks lodge and Medford Rotary club. He was in the wholesale grocery business for the past 50 years and manager of Mason Ehrman company for 15 years. He retired in 1951. He is survived by his wife, Mabel F. Gibbs; one son, Wil-. liam; a sister, Mrs. Elias Hamil ton, Seattle, Wash.; two broth ers, Elmer C. of Tacoma, Wash., and J. Newton Gibbs of McCall, Ida. ., Funeral services will be held at Perl funeral home, Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. D. Progress Reported A re port from Rochester, Minn., this morning was to the effect that Leon McDougall, Medford youth who underwent an extraordin ary neart operation last week at Mayo clinic, is making, a sat isfactory recovery. The young man's father, J. A. McDougall, 315 Perrydale ave., telephoned home to say that the surgeon who performed the operation has stated young McDougall's progress is satisfactory to this point. The patient is still for the most part unconscious and re mains under oxygen.
