The reputation of the manufacturer and reputation of the store ! are closely related they both want you to get the maximum for your investment. The carpet manufacturer tests, . checks, uses only the finest materials before the product is completed and be fore he puts his brand label on a floor covering. Get- reliable advice The store has a reputation, too. A reliable store will carry and feature brand names of American manufacturers . . . nationally advertised famous brand carpets you've read -about in magazines. Made here in the United States, the store knows the maker has rigid standards, and will stand behind his product with a satisfactory warranty. See a wide selection Question your salesman about the type of weave, content of the carpet . . and tell hm a little about the type of room you plan to carpet. Tell him how much money you plan to spend on it. In you make a wise and practical choice. Colors change in hue, depending on whether you look at them in daylight, or under incandescent or fluorescent lighting fixtures. To get an exact idea of the color, ask your carpet salesman to send samples to your home, in the color or colors you've chosen. Look at them with the other colors in the room, in the light in which they will be seen once they've been installed. Avoid cut-rate bargains There are very fine foreign carpets but a great propor tion of floor coverings now being imported are cheap copies of American patterns and weaves. The wools used are soft, there are many imperfections in the weaving; in general, they offer poor value, even though advertised as cut-price bargains. It's important for you to buy a prop erly labeled brand name floor covering, rather than an ' unknown fabric. .- Perfect installation is a must Have your room measured by an expert ... carpet may be. installed in a variety of ways . . . Laurine's Cret House will help you choose "the best installation method for your, home. An expert installation keeps a carpet looking its best and insures you of the service and beauty you expect and do receive from first class floor coverings.
