Mrs. Eisenhower was particu larly pleased by Mary Jean's white-colored hair. Mrs. Eisen hower herself is a brunette. Western Union, at Gettysburg, recently had 23 circuits avail able and capable of moving 57, 500 words an hour. M Eisenhower has been out Oof Washington about two-thirds of 1955. His actual calendar time away from the White House has not been added, but it comes out roughly to more than two-thirds of the year. i The reporters who have lived with the story of the President's heQrt attack since last Septem ber are, in general, convinced that the President will not run again in 1956. Their reasons are not particu larly definite. They just have not heard anything to the contrary The White House staff, the men and women who handle the President's daily business, don't talk about politics, particularly the 1956 brand. The road staff, the people who Christmas Shopping Buyers Set Record . Washington (U.R) The na tion's shoppers set a record in Christmas buying last week. Ar The Proud Eisenhowers were at Denver and Gettysburg this year, talk mostly in terms of getting the President well. They are quite willing to let the future take care of itself. And, apparently, so is the President. To the people around th President, it also comes as a somewhat strange thing to read or hear that the President must declare himself by a certain date.
