The Rev. Ernest Vdlkman, graduate of Wheaton college and 2 Fuller Theological seminary, will be speaker for the evening. Christmas music will be given by the male qSartet, and a court of honor for7 the church's Scout troop will be held. Those who attend whose last names begin with letters A through O are asked to take hot dishes; and those from P through Z, salads or desserts. Men of the congregation and interested friends are invited. 'Born To Die' Title Of Chris&nas Play A Christmas . play entitled, "Born To Die," will be presented by the young people o the Four square church, Sunday at 7:30 p.m. O The public is invited, accord ing to the pastor, R. H. Mathew-son. We Believe .... IN HEAVEN! We believe the wonders of the place God has prepared for them that love Him are desireable and blessed above natural human ability to even con ceive. "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Yet He has put a foretaste of these things in the hearts of all who are truly on their way to that place. "But. God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit.""The Lord Jesus spqe to His own, saying, "I go to prepare a place for you." Sin has closed the door to heaven, but Jesus has opened it by "bearing our sins in his own body" on the Cross; arid all who have truly turned their hearts away from sin to trust and obey Him are truly on their way to that blessed place. "Jesus said, "I am the way!" It is said that the old time preachers preached heaven so you could smgll the flowers, and hell so you "could smell the fumes. We believe the Bible! So, as we be lieve In heaven, we also believe IN HELL! The same Book from which we obtain our information about heaven, about the blessed eternal state of all who have who have been truly saved, tells us of the ternal terrible state of those who have not been saved. There is more said in the Bible about hell than about heaven, more about eternal wrath and judgment than about eternal bliss. This is so men might make no mistake about the God of love being also d God of wrath and iudament. "I will reoav. saith the Lord." "In flaming fire take vengeance on then that know not God, and that obey not Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." "These shall away into everlastinq punishment." We should o say we believe the Bible about heaven unless we are willing to believe it about hell. The consequence of unforgiven sin is fearful indeed. Be sure yours are forgiven. BEDFORD COMMUNITY CHURCH 22714 SoPCentral The above is the fifth in a series of brief Bible studies setting forth the position of Medford Community Church as an undenominational Bible believing Qnd reaching Christian fellowship.
