It has various other medical uses, de tails of which are beyond the scope of a health column. Suffice to say that citrate of soda is a milky akaline diuretic (pro motes excretion of urine), dia phoretic (promotes excreteion of sweat) and expectorant (pro motes secretion from mucous membranes lining air passages and facilitates expulsion of such secretions from the bronchial tubes and chest).
