Mar 10, 1135 Personal Health By WILLIAM BRADY, M.D. Readers should address inquiries to: Dr. William Brady 2CS El Camino, Beverly Hills, Calif. A MILLION OR ANYWAY A THOUSAND Seems as though there are a million letters waiting here for me to answer. Sometimes I feel guilty sneaking off to the bowl ing green while the pile grows higher and higher. But I tell you quite seriously, folks, that without three afternoons a week in Elysium nine hours off, that is I'd be so crabbed and cantankerous that ... I know of no other preventative so good for high blood pressure peptic ulcer, angina pectoris, coronary thrombosis, appoplexy, et cetera, unless it be three or four miles of oxygen on the hoof six days a week. And You, Too, Ma'am. After a sore throat my broth er's ear started running in No vember. He was under the doc tor's care, using ear drops and penicillin. Nothing did any good until he started using the ear drops you suggest. His ear stop ped running about two weeks ago. We shall be eternally grate ful to you. God bless 'you. (Miss ...... Montreal.) Whether the ear drops I sug gest had anything to do with the young man's recovery is doubtful. In the first place, the drops I suggest are for chronic running ear that is, only when the trouble has been present months or years. More likely the ear trouble in this instance re sponded to the doctor's treat- man t or perhaps the trouble ran its course and recovery oc curred naturally as though there had been no treatment at all. Be that as it may, I'm grateful to the Montreal correspondent for her report and I pray God will bless her, too. Not one in thousand who write to me merely report that my sugges tion proved helpful or didn't prove helpful. Not one ina hundred who says God bless you fails to add a rider asking for further advice. This is the pur pose of Personal Health Service, of course. But I mention the Montreal exception here to show why I am grateful. On written request accompan ied with a stamped, self-address ed envelope I'll send a pam phlet or leaflet which tells how to prepare and use the drops I suggest for chronic running ear. Written and signed, of course. Tm not stuffy about this, handling letters from many states, provinces and countries, it is difficult to avoid errors' if requests bear no name and ad dress.
