Seems as though there are a
million letters waiting here for
me to answer. Sometimes I feel
guilty sneaking off to the bowl
ing green while the pile
grows higher and higher. But I
tell you quite seriously, folks,
that without three afternoons a
week in Elysium nine hours
off, that is I'd be so crabbed
and cantankerous that ... I
know of no other preventative
so good for high blood pressure
peptic ulcer, angina pectoris,
coronary thrombosis, appoplexy,
et cetera, unless it be three or
four miles of oxygen on the
hoof six days a week.
And You, Too, Ma'am.
After a sore throat my broth
er's ear started running in No
vember. He was under the doc
tor's care, using ear drops and
penicillin. Nothing did any good
until he started using the ear
drops you suggest. His ear stop
ped running about two weeks
ago. We shall be eternally grate

Whether the ear drops I sug
gest had anything to do with
the young man's recovery is
doubtful. In the first place, the

ran its course and recovery oc
curred naturally as though there
had been no treatment at all.

Baby Doing 'Well'
After Blood Changed

A 4-day-old infant who exper
ienced two complete changes of
blood within 48 hours of her
birth was doing "fairly well"
today.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al
bert Robertson of Belmont, de
cided to name the child Denise
Louise.
The doctor said the baby is
still in a somewhat critical con
dition at Sequoia hospital. He
said she still has a touch of jaun
dice. Denise was born with incom
patible blood because of a rare
combination of blood types in
her parents. Her blood was
drained and replaced twice.

and family visited in Portland
last week end. On Monday Mr.
Watt made a business trip to
Aumsville, Ore., before return
ing her.
