Charges Dismissed Charges against two men in district court cases, . pending for several months, were dismissed yester day on the recommendation of District Attorney Walter Nun ley, according to court records. Those against whom the charges were dismissed were William Edward Walton, 20, of 615 West 11th st, who had been charged with disorderly conduct, . and C. O. Kroutz, route 1, box 314, Eagle Point, who had been charged with cruelty to animals, Tie case against Kroutz, which had been pending since Nov., 1652, was dismissed on grounds that the complaining witness re fused to cooperate in the. prose- cution. Young, Trail, was ' hospitalized over night at Community hospital for treatment of minor injuries re ceived when his car struck a tree about 4 p.m., Tuesday, near the Elk Creek bridge, according to a report of the accident. He was taken to the hospital by Medford Ambulance service. Young said his car struck the tree when he was blinded by the sun as he was driving around a comer on Highway 62. To Collect Foods Members of the Luther league of Zion Lutheran church, a young peo ple's group, will "trick or treat" Sunday evening, Oct 31, asking for canned goods to be used for world relief. The hours will be 6:30 to 8 p.m.,-and the collec tion will take the plaoe of a reg ular meeting of the group. After the collection they will meet at the church for a party.
