Six Oregon POYs Unaccounted for, Government States Washington UJ9 Th De fense department Saturday re leased another list of Ameri can prisoners of war in Korea unaccounted for by the Com munists. The department said there Is - reason to believe the Commun ists hold or have information on the fate of these men. The new list brings to a to tal of 917 the number of names ' released by the Pentagon. Still to be identified are 27 more men. The list Included: Orooons Airman 1-C James L. BelL son of Mrs. Georgina A. Lange, Route two, Dallas. ' S-Sgt. Charles W. Crocker, Jr., husband of Mrs. Roberta V. Crocker, 529 North 4th St, Cor- vallis. S-Sgt Lee T. The annual 4-H and Future Farmers of America fat stock auctions were held Friday but prize-winning steers and fat lambs brought substantially low er prices than last year. . The Marion hotel of Salem bought the top lamb and steer, paying 90 cents a pound to Er win Riddell of Independence for the grand champion 4-H lamb and 42 cents to Frances Dear dorff of Prairie City for her grand champion Hereford steer. New Meter System Problem in Salem Salem (U.PJ Salem's park ing meter deposit boxes went into effect over the weekend, and added more work to the po lice department. The collection boxes produced 113 tickets and $58.50 in .cash Friday, the first day of opera tion. The boxes look like dwarf mail boxes. Tickets now dis tributed in what some call the "garage activity" of the police department, are placed in red envelopes- The motorist drawing an overtime parking ticket, may put his 50 cents in the envelope along with the ticket, and his slate is clean again. There is a box in each block, walk a few steps, deposit his so that the tardy parker may fine or garage pay and de part, without the necessity of a trip to police headquarters. Bodies of John Lewis Day, 21, and his wife, Helen Lor raine, 19, were found shot to death in their apartment here. A .38 calibre service revolver was found beside Day's body. The Days were discovered when an employee of a funeral home where Day was employed as an escort rider went to the apart ment to learn why he had not appeared for work. Detectives said Day appar ently shot his wife and then killed himself.
