As We Live BE ENTHUSIASTIC, MAKE MORE FUN FOR EVERYONE Bubbling over with enthusiasm is an asset in any phase of life. Keep yourself in good health, well rested and well fed Don't use your, physical strength and energy unnecessarily. To be enthusiastic, you must have surplus of physical energy. 2. Get in an enthusiastic frame of mind before going out where there are people. Start with the attitude that you are going to have lots of fun and then hold on to it; no matter what happens that is not to your liking. 3. Learn to see the funny side to every situation that upsets others. Don't, of course, be tact less and laugh when others are upset by some imagined calamity but, at the same time, don't be dragged down by their gloom Try to keep your perspective and show, them that things are not as bad as they look at the moment. 4. Mrs. Nininger is a daughter of the Martins. Mar tin has gone to Oklahoma to visit his sister, Mrs; Ann Rotan. Mr. and Mrs. David Bell have Bell's Gun Shop for sale and are leaving Shady Cove. They have bought a trailer house and plan to travel around the coun try but will go first to Blaine, Ore., where they will visit a son. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sargent and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. ROMANTIC ATTITUDES: "When a boy wants to make lova to you on tha first data, does it mean that he has fallen in love at first sight?" Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Collins of Shady Cove recently entertain ed as guests Mrs. Collins' broth er and wife whom she hadn't seen for 25 years, Mr. and Mrs. V. Leroy Smith of Victoria, B. C, and at the same time another brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. T. Harry Smith of Long Beach, Calif. The two couples drove on up to Banff and Lake Louise, in Canada. Mrs. Lewis Jantzer of Trail is reported to be ill at home. Mr. and Mrs. Grey King of Portland spent several days re cently visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bartuss of Shady Cove. Mrs. Ruth Sawyers and daugh ter, Sandra, of Trail, expect to return this week from Minne apolis where they have been va cationing for the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Straight of Shady Cove have had his nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilbur and daugh ter, Carol, from Westwood, Calif., visiting them and enter tained on the 4th with a picnic at their home.
