June 30. 1952 Portland Festival Will Be Continued Portland (U.R) The Port land Rose Festival will not be discontinued because of a shaky financial situation, according to directors of the Rose Festival as gociation. Some association members had expressed fear the colorful event might have to be halted for a year or two because of financial losses. However, Chester Duncan associate president, said aban donment has never been official, ly considered. Medford, Oregon to which plans and specifications refer ence is hereby made for details and estimated coste thereof, and to assess upon each lot. or part thereof adja cent to and benefited by such im provement its proportionate share of the cost of saia improvement as pro vided by the Charter of the City of Medford. Section 2. The Council will meet in the Council Chambers at the City Hall on the 1st day of June. 1052, at 7:30 p.m.. at which time and place the owners of said adjacent property are hereby called upon to appear before said Council and show cause. If any, why said Improvement should not be constructed, and why said property should not be assessed for the con struction thereof. SecUon 3.
