discontinued because of a shaky
financial situation, according to
directors of the Rose Festival as

expressed fear the colorful event
might have to be halted for a
year or two because of financial
losses. However, Chester Duncan

Section 1. That it Is the Intention
of the Council to cause to be con
structed concrete curbs and gutters
and asphelUc concrete pavement on
Haven Street from Woodstock Street
to Grape Street in accordance with the

Section 2. The Council will meet in
the Council Chambers at the City
Hall on the 1st day of June. 1052, at
7:30 p.m.. at which time and place the

said Council and show cause. If any,
why said Improvement should not be
constructed, and why said property
should not be assessed for the con
struction thereof.
SecUon 3. The City Recorder Is
hereby directed to serve notice hereof
upon the property owners aforesaid,
by publishing this Ordinance once in
a dally newspaper, printed, published,
and of general circulation in said City
at least ten (10) days before the date
of said meet nr. and by posting five
(5) copies of this Ordinance In five
(5) public and conspicuous places in
