At Schoolhouses in Re spective Districts for Vote Whether consolidation will be the means employed to alle viate an over-crowded condition in the- Phoenix and Talent schools will be decided tomor row evening when patrons of the two districts will vote on the proposal. Legal voters will cast their ballots between the hours of 8 and 9 p.m. at the schoolhouses of their respective districts. JESSIE FAKTOR Mrs. Jessie Faktor passed avay at a local hospital Mon duv. Mrs. Faktor was born in Wheatland, Minn., Jan. 1, 1881. In 1809 she was united in mar riage to Francis J. Faktor at Wheatland. Mrs. Faktor has been an active member of the Sacred Heart church for a number of years. She leaves to mourn her pass ing, her husband and four sons, Edward F. Faktor, Glendale, Calif.; George J. Faktor, Blue Earth, Minn.; Gilbert P. Faktor, Los Angeles, Calif., and Robert L. Faktor, San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Messer, Medford; also four brothers and six sisters. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Perl Funeral Home Wednesday at 7:30 p. m. and funeral services will be held at, the Sacred Heart Catholic church Thursday at 9 a. m. The Rev. Father Henry Orth will of ficiate. Interment will follow in Siskiyou Memorial Park. ELLA MAY MELVILLE Services for Mrs. EUa May Melville, who passed away un expectedly Sunday at the home o" her son, John S. Clark, Jo Jack Road, will be held In the Conger-Morris Chapel at 2:30 p. m. Friday with the Rev. W. A. Dawes officiating. Interment will be In Jacksonville ceme tery. She was born in Dcs Moines, Iowa, Nov. S, 1877, and had made her home In this commun ity for the past six years. Sur viving beside the son, Is a daugh ter, Mrs. Ethel Larsen, Seattle, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. PLANT WILL FILM First micro-film plant for title insurance use in the northwest, and possibly in the entire nation, will be installed in Medford by the Eastman company for the Southern Oregon Title company it was announced today by Wil liam Peek, manager of the firm. Installation of the machinery at the courthouse was started yes terday by Frank Lehner, north west manager for Eastman, and it is expected that the new title plant will be in operation in about two months. After that date service by the company will be greatly accelerated, it was said. With this brand new process, termed "recordak," micro-films will be made of all past records at the courthouse Involving real property transactions and then the micro-films records will be made of all new transaction rec ords. The micro-films will then be used by the title insurance company's examiners as a basis for Insurance issued bv the firm. Will Speed Service Peck stated that during the two month's required to put the process in' operation, service would necessarily be slowed, but that after that date service on title -Insurance would be much quicker than even pre-war days. It is known that this will meet with great favor, since post-wor conditions and the great bulk of property transportations in this county have made it impossible to secure title insurance papers without weeks of waiting. The new equipment and plant will cost about $25,000, it was stated. R. S. Ellsworth, treas urer of Commonwealth, Inc., owners of the Southern Oregon Title company, is here to aid with Installation of the photo graphic equipment and stated that similar plant will be in stalled at Albany beginninc this week. Southern Oregon Title com pany, now having offices at 227 West Main street, is looking for a new and more arlrmin( Mo tion, Peek and Ellsworth .lolorf since the present office space nui ob suiricient to care for the new equipment. The Med ford 20-30 club has been inactive since September 1942. due to the majority of the members being in service with the armed forces. With return of many veteran members action is being taken to reorganize the organization and become active again in com munity work. Ben Schmidt, local director of the YMCA, was guest speaker, his topic being China and the capabilities of the Chinese peo ple. Many souvenirs showing the Intricate and delicate artistic abilities of the Chinese were pre sented and discussed. The meeting was held under direction of acting President Clyde Chamberlain. Plans were completed in the reorganization program and the first official business meeting will be held at the Hotel Holland on Feb. 26. Guests of the club were Bill Lawrence, Bob Littrell, Cliff Ayers, Wilbur Scalberg, J. C. Kaylor, Ralph Seeley, Gomer Custer and James Parker.
