Burns, MMlc, who recently received an honorable discharge from the navy at Albany, Ore., has been in Medford to visit his mother, Mrs. H. F. Barrett, Rt. 4, Box 111. Burns, in the navy two years, will leave tonight for his home in Portland. Unit to M et Phoenix Exten sion unit will meet in the Pres byterian church at 10:30 a. m. .Nov. 16th with Miss Marian Far rell in charge of the lesson on "Developing Good Taste in Clothingl" Lunch will be served at noon and those attending are asked to bring a vegetable or salad. Mrs. Jim Rollingson arrived by plane from Lethbridge, Alta Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Walden Rice and son, Eugene, are here from Magrath, Alta., Canada, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Clark have come from Stockton, Calif., to be with Mr. Clark. Fellerson, Or land, Calif., were to leave the city today after spending the week-end visiting at the home of Mrs. Fellerson's mother, Mrs. E. A. Transferred Harry Lawr ence, AOMlc in the navy, has been transferred to the heavy carrier, USS Lexington and in his most recent letter to his par ents stated that the ship was in Tokyo Bay. Lawrence com mented on the sight of the Jap anese ships which had been heavily damaged by the Ameri cans in the closing days of the war and which are still in the Tokyo harbor. He also wrote that he was to spend a period of liberty in Yokohama. The Lex ington is to return home about the first of December and young Lawrence will then be discharg ed from the service.
