Transferred Harry Lawr
ence, AOMlc in the navy, has
been transferred to the heavy
carrier, USS Lexington and in
his most recent letter to his par
ents stated that the ship was in
Tokyo Bay. Lawrence com
mented on the sight of the Jap
anese ships which had been
heavily damaged by the Ameri
cans in the closing days of the
war and which are still in the
Tokyo harbor. He also wrote
that he was to spend a period of
liberty in Yokohama. The Lex
ington is to return home about
the first of December and young
Lawrence will then be discharg
ed from the service.
