Gill is on terminal leave, hav ing Just been released from the army nurse corps in which she enlisted nearly three years ago. Hubbard, lead navigator and an administrative officer for a C47 transport group which has been operating from a Philippine Island base for many months, has been overseas about a year. Before the end of the war the group was engaged in transport ing of supplies to the island and wounded men back to the United States. In his last letter the offi cer wrote that he had just re turned from a flight to Tokyo and that his next trip would be Australia. RAIN DELAYS PICKING OF VALLEY PEAR CROP Rain that fell generally over the Rogue river valley yesterday and last night halted pear pick ing, now in its final stages.
