1 y Japs Executed Four ; In Soviet Spy Ring . , After Secret Trial Tokyo, Sept. 20 OJ.R) Two foreigners end four Japanese, In eludinf the eon of a prince at tached to Emperor Hirohito's household staff and a member of the Imperial diet, were tried late i fn 194S as asserted members of an international soviet spy ring, it was learned today. A German correspondent for the Frankfurter Zeitung and a representative of the official French news agency Havas were convicted and executed by a fir ing squad, as were two of the Japanese. They were: Richard Sorge, 48, of the Zeitung. Con ley, who recently returned from Italy where he served with the ski-troops, is enjoying a 30-day furlough with his family. Miss Evelyn Ditsworth return ed to her work as stenographer in tBe legal department at the Veteran's hospital in Portland, Sept. 19, after spending a week here visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Ditsworth at the Green Meadows ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Morning star of Copco, Calif., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hollen beak for a couple of days last week. Paul Dalton resumed his work as cower chain saw operator aft er receiving medical treatment at Medford for the past two weeks. Miss Aileen Sherwood, who has spent the summer packing fruit at Auburn, Calif., returned to her home here, and will leave next week for Corvallis where she will enroll as a junior at Oregon State college. Announcements were receiv ed here this week telling of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Jantzer, Sept. 13, at the Community hospital at Medford. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and they have named her Faye Louise. The Jantzera have two other daughters and one son. Pvt. Leo Kelley is visiting rel atives at Prospect this week. Pvt.
