TEN MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE Your Health and It's Care By OR. WILLIAM BRADY. M.O. Reader! fhould eddreii tnquirtei lei Or. William Brady. 265 El Camino Beverly Hills Calif. HOSPITALS ARE I note (writes Capt ) in your booklet that you advocate the presence of the father in the delivery room at the time of birth. My wife 1 has strongly in dicated her de sire to have me at her side at that time. Do hospitals per mit the hus band to remain with his wife? (Signed ) I ' m afraid, Captain, that you arc out of luck if your wife must go to a hospital to have her baby. In his own home, in her own home, a man or a wom an will have the right to decide whether the husband o lit Dr. Brady shall remain at his wife's I corridor where the stooges, the side or be ordered out by the haughty nurse or the doctor. That children's specialist who made the weekly newsmagazine recently by proclaiming that there are too many operations on children, too many tonsillec tomies, too many children hos pitalized without just cause or provocation, etc., and that a hos pital is a poor place for a child to be born in, that there is little evidence that hospital delivery has reduced maternal or infant deaths, and that it exposes the baby to hospital diseases and to the scientific inhumanity of doc tort and nurses (italics mine), may not realize it, but he risked being described in the editorial columns of the Jour, of the American Fishbcin Association as a liar or worse I know be cause I was so described when I told some truths about the shameful part American Medi cine has played in the monopo olies that kept insulin and vita min D prices up for so many years. These doctors who run the rackets don't like to be exposed to the public, and they have ways of punishing any one who ventures to expose them. ' Here let me inform readers that I have no data on hospitals Thursday. This summons is served upon you by publication once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks in the Medford Mail Tribune by order of Honorable H. K. U.S. National Bank Bldg. ivieaiora, uregon. SITTING TIGHT or other institutions that permit the husbands to remain with his wife during delivery of their baby where a real man should be. I can only repeat the advice I have given before either have your baby at home or engage your physician with the stipula tion that you are to be there at your wife s side. If the doctor will not or dare not (usually he hasn't enough character to hold out against any "rules" or "reg ulations" the hospital may make about it) assure you about this, don't engage him. This "scientific inhumanity of doctors and nurses," of which the children's specialist spoke, according to the report in the newsmagazine, is all that makes the monkey cage necessary in in stitutions where meek little folk have their babies the room or 8-13 o m.
