Mrs. Gleason's par ents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gleason, live on the New Crater Lake highway, and her husband, Lt. (jg) Gleason, a fighter pilot with the navy, is now in the South Pacific. Lt. Ullo, adju tant general of the army, said every physically fit soldier in the United States who has not been overseas will be assigned to foreign service before he is dis charged. Ulio said the army Is trying to speed the return of soldiers to civilian life but considers the war against Japan more import ant than partial demobilization. The army, he said, will not ask any GI "to lay down his life in order that another American sol dier may return home a few days sooner.". Ulio addressed a meeting of the Advertising Men s Post, 209, American Legion yesterday.
