Razum, bereaved cus todian of "Cathy from Wuther ing Heights," blamed a dental extraction for the letter's run away from the family home last night. Cathay's guardian admitted the four-month-old's mouth bled more profusely than she bad an ticipatedbut she declared, "I didn't expect such a crisis.'' It 'was not until last night, however, during a presumably friendly tussling match between the two in the living room that Cathy took revenge and bolted through the front' door and was gone. Mrs. Razum, clerk on a local draft board, asked the Tribune reporter covering that beat this morning what she should do to get Cathy back. The sympathetic reporter and friends all agreed she had bet ter place a "Lost" ad in the paper immediately. Grasping on this straw. Mrs, Razum went hopefully to the Tribune with her ad. An alert young lady in the classified de partment recalled at once tak ing a "Found" ad a few minutes earlier from Mrs. White who had Cathy safely In her care. Acting as negotiator the young woman sent Mrs. Razum on her way to 339 South Ivy, where Cathy perked up considerably wnen her owner promised faith fully there'd be no more tooth- pulling if she would come home. Cathay had followed Mrs, White's "big black collie dog" home. A natural thing for a 4- month-old pup of the same breed to do. - Pressure Too Much For Lew Conger At Club Pistol Shoot Starting off with a score which should have made him high man for the evening. Lew Conger was distracted by the sight of the new engagement ring on the hand of his fiancee, Maurine Shearer, at the Bed ford Gun club's pistol shoot last night and ended up fifth-high. With 92 in the first off-hand round and a chance to beat this winter's club record, the excite ment brought on by the engage ment news was too much for Conger and he folded, with two outside tens for a low 70. Conger is one of the old timers and is president of the club while bis fiancee Is a new member. Five high scores for the eve ning were Phil Whitlock, 375; Max Terzenback, 367: Octavla Waddell, 367; Jlmmie Bolton, 363: Conger. 359.
