As Negotiator To
Recover Lost Dog
Helen. Razum, bereaved cus
todian of "Cathy from Wuther
ing Heights," blamed a dental
extraction for the letter's run
away from the family home last
night.
Cathay's guardian admitted
the four-month-old's mouth bled
more profusely than she bad an
ticipatedbut she declared, "I
didn't expect such a crisis.''
It 'was not until last night,
however, during a presumably
friendly tussling match between
the two in the living room that
Cathy took revenge and bolted
through the front' door and was
gone.
Mrs. Razum, clerk on a local
draft board, asked the Tribune
reporter covering that beat this
morning what she should do to
get Cathy back.
The sympathetic reporter and
friends all agreed she had bet
ter place a "Lost" ad in the
paper immediately.
Grasping on this straw. Mrs,
Razum went hopefully to the
Tribune with her ad. An alert
young lady in the classified de
partment recalled at once tak
ing a "Found" ad a few minutes
earlier from Mrs. White who
had Cathy safely In her care.
Acting as negotiator the young
woman sent Mrs. Razum on her
way to 339 South Ivy, where
Cathy perked up considerably
wnen her owner promised faith
fully there'd be no more tooth-
pulling if she would come home.
Cathay had followed Mrs,
White's "big black collie dog"
home. A natural thing for a 4-
month-old pup of the same breed
to do. -
