Werderber, star of the Artil lery team, rammed home the first goal for the Gunners after 14 Vi minutes of play in the slow first period. Both teams warmed up during the second period, but the Snipers were no match for the fine team play of the Gun ners, who scored two goals, the first by Llndstrom and the sec ond by Engel, both unassisted. In the middle of the third period, Werderber scored the fourth Artillery goal, this time on an assist from Llndstrom. Then the Infantry made a hard try and with the best team play they had shown during the game, scored one on a play by Maloney assisted by Musialowskl. Next Tuesday night the 78th General Hospital Clippers meet the USO Bombers. This will be another Ladies' Night at the Medford Ice Arena, ladles with escorts being admitted for a small tax charge. The star of the game was Illinois' Andy Phillip, lowest scorer of the Illini with but three points. Phillip played one of the best ball handling games of his career.
