PAGE SEVEN Society ani Clubs by Betty Shoemaker May me Seiler Heads Degree Of Honor Group Adabee Seiler was hostess to members of the Past President's club of the Degree of Honor Protective association at her home 635 North Central avenue last week. Election of officers and a Christmas party comprised the entertainment. Mayme Seiler was elected pre- sident with Brica Cadwallader as secretary-treasurer. Follow ing a short business meeting gifts were exchanged and games played. Later refreshments were served by the hostess. Katherine Smith was in charge of the meeting. The Christmas motif was car ried out in the table decorations A where covers were laid for Hattie Bradshaw, Brica Cadwal lader, Mayme Seiler, Matilda Dietrich, Ida Wilson, Esther Barker, Carrie Chase, Edith El liott, Katherine Smith, Mae Denman of Ashland and the hos tess. Mrs. Hooper To Visit Daughter ' Mrs. Bert Hooper of 421 South Grape street plans to leave to day for Klamath Falls where she will spend the next two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Lloyal Heath and family. Club To Meet At Beck Home Mrs. Michael Beck will be hostess to members of the Mis- tletoe club at her home Tues day for the annual Christmas party. Activities Lincoln "The Story of Christmas In Many Lands" was presented by a group of pupils of Mrs. Ora Readings' room at the Decem ber meeting of Lincoln school Parent-Teacher association Fri day at 2:30 p. m. with 40 at tending. The children wore colorful costumes and told of Christmas customs in their native coun tries. A group of songs, "Away in a Manger" and "Jolly Santa Claus" were Included in the program. The meeting opened with a salute to the flag followed by singing of "America" in which the children asked their parents and teachers to join them. Refreshments were served at labia decorated with cedar garlands and lighted red candles. Mrs. Alice Webb was in charge of the decoration and mothers of her students were hostesses to the group. Lodge. Club-Church Announcements Electa Club Schedules Meeting A Christmas party is planned by members of Electa club at the Girls' Community clubhouse Friday at 1 p. m. Covered dish luncheon will open the gather ing with hostesses. Mrs. Ida Mae Roberts, Miss Ann Detweiler and Mrs. Clara Knight. There will be an exchange of gifts. Mrs. Groves To Be Hostess Mrs. Irl Groves will be host ess to the Carnation club at her home, 108 Genesee street Thurs day at 8 p. m. Degree of Honor Plans Christmas Tree Members of the Degree of Honor are making plans for the annual Christmas tree to be held at Lincoln school gymna sium Wednesday at 7:30 p. m. for members and invited guests. Members are asked to bring a gift for themselves and for their guest In order that all may be eligible for a gift from the Christmas tree. Wednesday Study Club Plans Christmas Program Mrs. C. A. Meeker is In charge of the musical program for the Christmas meeting of the Wed nesday Study club to be held Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. at the Girls Community clubhouse, 229 North Bartlett. Mrs. F. K. Deuel will read a Christmas story and members will ex change gifts in observance of the Yuletide" festivities. Eagles Auxiliary To Meet Thursday Eagles auxiliary will meet Thursday at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday in the armory dining room will be enjoyed by members of Crater Lake post 1833, Veterans of Foreign Wars and auxiliary. The dinner will precede the regular meetings. Each family is requested to bring a covered dish. Regular meetings will begin at 8 p. m. with initiation of new members.
