Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Weidman and family are leaving Oct. 1 for Salinai, Calif., to make their home, where Mr. Weidman will bold a responsible position with lumber concern. i Rudy and Mary Weidman grew to manhood and woman hood here and graduated from the local schools. They have many warm friends, besides their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hannaford and Edith Weidman, and other relatives here who ,will miss them a lot. All here extend a world of good wishes for their success and happiness in their new home. Rudy has been the manager of the local lumber yard for the past four years. Reporting committee members Included Tom Stanley, on agri culture; Mabel Brown and Ellyn Charley, on education. Tha following 4-H boys eve Interesting remarks on the rais ing of their 4-H stock: Louis Walch, Willard Walch. Charles (Stanley, Gordon Stanley Mer ton Bradshaw and Lee Damon AU were very happy to have Willard Walch back at Grange Since his recent operation. , Claus Charley was appointed acting lecturer for the Sept. 26 meeting. Lecturer Myrtle Charley, who is leader of the Lake Creek Sewing club, had her girls put on their style show of the clothes they had made All of these girls participated In the 4 H fair recently at the court house. The following girls mod eled their dresses: Janet Char Icy, Katherme Walch, Lillian Damon, Leila Damon, Dorothy Stanley and Margaret Henry. Leila and Lillian Damon gave n excellent demonstration of a Lias binding. These girls gave tula same demonstration at the auite (air at Salem and won first place. Janet Charley gave a resume of her trip to the state fair. (Do not brown.) Add flour and aeaaon ings and blend until smooth. Add milk gradually and cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly. Add pimiento. Let bay leaf stand in sauce whila biscuit crust is being made. Bift flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in Spry until mix ture is as fine as ratal. Add milk, beating with a fork into a soft dough. Roll to ?4-ineh thickness. Cut with floured doufchnut cutter. Remove bay leaf from sauce and add tuna fish. Pour into baking dish greased with Spry and top ' with rings and centers of biscuit dough. Bake in very hot oven (450' F.) 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot. Serves e. Mrs. John Winningham and son Roy Winningham, Lorrenzo Harvey, and Miss Verna McVay. Refreshments were served. Saturday, September 27, at 8 p. m. is "Booster Night" at Up per Applegate Grange. A good program is planned with lots of fun afterwards. It is to be an open meeting so everybody la welcome. Refreshments will be salad, sandwiches, cake and coffee. Come if you can and enjoy a good time.
