and family are leaving Oct. 1
for Salinai, Calif., to make their
home, where Mr. Weidman will
bold a responsible position with
lumber concern.
i Rudy and Mary Weidman
grew to manhood and woman
hood here and graduated from
the local schools. They have
many warm friends, besides
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Hannaford and Edith Weidman,
and other relatives here who
,will miss them a lot. All here
extend a world of good wishes
for their success and happiness
in their new home. Rudy has
been the manager of the local
lumber yard for the past four
years.

Damon, Leila Damon, Dorothy
Stanley and Margaret Henry.
Leila and Lillian Damon gave
n excellent demonstration of a
Lias binding. These girls gave
tula same demonstration at the
auite (air at Salem and won first
place.
Janet Charley gave a resume
of her trip to the state fair.
All enjoyed the lecture hour
and thank Myrtle Charley for
bringing the style show to our
Grange.

Saute green pepper and onion
In hot Spry about 2 minutea. (Do
not brown.) Add flour and aeaaon
ings and blend until smooth. Add
milk gradually and cook until
smooth and thickened, stirring
constantly. Add pimiento. Let
bay leaf stand in sauce whila
biscuit crust is being made.
Bift flour with baking powder
and salt. Cut in Spry until mix
ture is as fine as ratal. Add milk,
beating with a fork into a soft
dough. Roll to ?4-ineh thickness.
Cut with floured doufchnut cutter.
Remove bay leaf from sauce and
add tuna fish. Pour into baking
dish greased with Spry and top '
with rings and centers of biscuit
dough. Bake in very hot oven
(450' F.) 25 to 30 minutes. Serve
hot. Serves e.

MEAT PIE
1 Cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons shortening
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
I tablespoon Lea ar Perrlns Sauce
1 can tomato soup or hot sauce
Brown onion in hot fat. Add beef, eook until
browa and crumbly, but not hard. Add salt. Lea
k Perrlns Sauce, tomato soup, and cook until
thick. Make a biscuit dough either your own or
with Blsqulck, enough to cover the casserole and
bake In hot oven (450 degrees) for 20 minutes. In
vert en serving plate, cut in wedges and serve
