Lindsav of Sun Francisco arrived by train today for week's visit at the Lindsay home on Oak street. Visit In Ashland Mrs. Harold Monroe and son, 1718 North Riverside avenue, spent Sunday and Monday in Ashland, visiting Mrs. Mae Lamb. Visiting Mrs. Frances Smith of Tulsa, Okla., arrived here by train today for at month's visit t the home of Mrs. Ed John son, route 1. This is Mrs. Smith's first trip to Oregon. Returns Home R. D. Mc Carty arrived here today by train after receiving treatment in a Los Angeles hospital for the last month. His address is route 1, box 1S7. From Kerby Mrs. Lucius Robinson and daughter Pauline of Kerby, Ore., have been guests at the home of Mrs. Jessie Mi near of Griffin creek for several days. During their stay here Pauline has been receiving med ical treatment. Baby Born Word has been received here of the birth of a daughter, Claudia Elizabeth, at the Gorgas hospital, Balboa. Panama Canal Zone, to Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert H. Davis, May 19. The baby weighed six pounds, 12Vi ounces. Mrs. Davis is the former Margaret Ward of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Davis made their home in Phoenix, Ore., before going to Colombia, South America, several years ago. where they resided a year, later moving to the Panama Canal Zone. Mr. Davis is employed in the division of the municipal engineer, U. S. government. Plane Passengers Arriving on the noon northbound United Mainliner at the Medford air port today were J. Lyons of San Francisco and B. Page of Los Angeles. Leaving on the same plane were R. Tetherow to Port land and C. O'Leary to Seattle. On the forenoon plane Dr. A. Phaneuf and A. Phaneuf, both of Seattle were arrivals and G. Wonder left for San Francisco and J. Campbell to Los Angeles D. Flynn left for Portland on the early morning plane. Arrivals Monday at midnight on the outhbound plane were C. Starnes of Portland and G. Won der of Seattle. Leaving on the aame plane were H. McDuffey to Sacramento and F. Sweeney to Oakland. H. Sutton left for Seattle on the 9:18 p. m. nortiv . bound Monday. Arriving on the Monday afternoon flagstop were C. MacDougall and J. Cornelius, both of San Francisco, and leav ing was R. Bard to Portland. Lose Tonsils Myron Babb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Babb of Glendale, Ore., and C. R. Richardson of Etna, Cal., un derwent tonsllectomies Monday at the Osteopathic Clinic and Hospital. Meet Mother Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Hambright of Pistol River, Ore., motored to Medford today to meet Mrs. Hambrlght's moth er, Mrs. Kathleen O'Brien of Waco, Texas, an arrival on the forenoon train. Mrs. O'Brien plans to spend the summer with her son-in-law and daughter. New Residence R. A. Skin ner applied at the city building inspector's office yesterday for a permit to construct a new resi dence and private garage at 19 Portland avenue at a stated cost of $2,750. W. H. Klatt applied for a permit to remodel his resi dence at 121 Kenwood avenue at a stated cost of $30. Last Meeting The Medford Toastmasters club held its last meeting before summer vaca tions begin Monday evening in the Hotel Medford. Arthur Hess was toastmaster of the evening. Otto DeJarnett and Ray Harri son were the main speakers, with Robert Shaw as guest speaker. There will be no more meetings until the first part of September.
