train after receiving treatment
in a Los Angeles hospital for

Robinson and daughter Pauline
of Kerby, Ore., have been guests
at the home of Mrs. Jessie Mi
near of Griffin creek for several
days. During their stay here
Pauline has been receiving med
ical treatment.
Baby Born Word has been
received here of the birth of a
daughter, Claudia Elizabeth, at
the Gorgas hospital, Balboa.
Panama Canal Zone, to Mr. and
Mrs. Gilbert H. Davis, May 19.
The baby weighed six pounds,
12Vi ounces. Mrs. Davis is the
former Margaret Ward of this
city. Mr. and Mrs. Davis made
their home in Phoenix, Ore.,
before going to Colombia, South
America, several years ago.
where they resided a year, later
moving to the Panama Canal
Zone. Mr. Davis is employed
in the division of the municipal
engineer, U. S. government.
Plane Passengers Arriving
on the noon northbound United
Mainliner at the Medford air
port today were J. Lyons of San
Francisco and B. Page of Los
Angeles. Leaving on the same
plane were R. Tetherow to Port
land and C. O'Leary to Seattle.
On the forenoon plane Dr. A.
Phaneuf and A. Phaneuf, both
of Seattle were arrivals and G.
Wonder left for San Francisco
and J. Campbell to Los Angeles

to meet Mrs. Hambrlght's moth
er, Mrs. Kathleen O'Brien of
Waco, Texas, an arrival on the
forenoon train. Mrs. O'Brien
plans to spend the summer with
her son-in-law and daughter.

Last Meeting The Medford
Toastmasters club held its last
meeting before summer vaca
tions begin Monday evening in
the Hotel Medford. Arthur Hess
was toastmaster of the evening.
Otto DeJarnett and Ray Harri
son were the main speakers,
with Robert Shaw as guest
speaker. There will be no more
meetings until the first part of
September.

booked into the Rialto Theatre
for a three-day run starting to
day with Bing Crosby in one
of the four starring roles. Voted
by public and critics every
where as the top film of 1937,
"Rhythm on the Range" comes
to the popular Main Street the
atre as the "Rialto Re-Issue
Days" film. Others in the large
cast Include Bob Burns, Martha
Raye and Frances Farmer. This
is the picture that gave Bob
Burns and his bazooka and Miss
Raye to theatre audiences both
of them having been on the
radio.
