Public Card Party To Be Saturday A public card party, sponsored by the Auxiliary to Crater Lake Post 1833, Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held Saturday at 8 p. m., at Aloha ranch, home of Mr. and Mis. Ira D. Canfield Members of the post and auxil iary are urged to attend and bring their friends. Refresh ments will be served and prizes awarded. Mr. Canfield is de partment commander of Oregon. Siskiyou and Rogue River National Forests were meeting In the local offices of the latter forest service this afternoon for the purpose of discussing possible emergency fire conditions. The meeting was called by C. Otto Lind, in charge of forest fire control at the regional of fice In Portland. Also attending the meeting were L. Colville of the Siskiyou National Forest and R. (JF) General Alfredo Guzzoni was dropped today as vice chief of the Ital ian general staff and undersec retary of war. A communique said Division General Anthonio Scuero, gen eral superintendent of the Ital ian army in Albania, had re placed him as undersecretary of war and that the general staff Job had been eliminated. No reason was given for the change, the communique saying merely that Premier Mussolini had written Guzzoni a letter thanking him for his services in the two Jobs.
