Shirley Temple In Newest Picture On Craterian Program There's so much to laugh at, so much to love, so many things to take away and remember In Shirley Temple'a new picture. "Just Around the Corner," which opened yesterloy at the Craterlan theatre, that even the most glowing comment can hard ly do Justice either to Shirley or to the delightful show fashioned around her. You'll simply have to go see It for yourself I The picture opens with Shirley re turning home from , boarding school to find her architect Dad down on his luck. Hsvlng Invested all his money In a great slum clearance project, work on which has been sus pended for lack of additional capital, Farrell has given up hi penthouse and taken a basement room In the same apartment building. Once the biggest paying tenant In the build ing, he la now one of lta humblest employees. The resson. he explains to Shirley, la because of what la happening to Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam could fix everything If onlj people would help him. Shirley naturally assumes that her Dad Is referring to the fabulously wealthy Samuel Henshaw who la "Uncle 8am" to her playmate, Bennle Bartlett, and to the lovely Amanda. So she conspired with Bert Lahr. Joan Davis and Bill Robinson to put on a big benefit show In the base ment of the apartment house and "Uncle Sam" (Henshaw) Is to be the beneficiary! The newspspera get wind of Shir ley's show, which Is a tremendous success, and what follows provides a thrilling and completely satisfactory climax for everyone concerned. And, on top of that, there's a new Mickey Mouse cartoon. "The Brave Little Tailor." plua a delightful un usual subject wherein Bdgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy demonstrate how Charlie was born.
