S. re gional forester's office in Missoula, Mont.. George Stevenson, logging en gineer from the regional forester's office In Portland, and H. C. Obye. assistant supervisor of the Tlogue River national forest, left this morn ing to make a study of white pine logging operations above Union Creek. Mr. Neff is an expert on white pine logging and he was to give ad vice on -proper timber management methods to follow on the Rogue for est. He arrived hers by train last night to visit his brother, B. F. Neff, of Jacksonville highway. Forest ex ecutives of this region decided to take advantage of his presence here to procure his advice. Mr. Stevenson arrived from Portland by train this morning. Driver Tests Examination of ap pi 1 cants for licenses or permits to drive automobiles will be held here this week on Wednesday and Thurs day, it was announced today by Ward McReynolds. state examiner In charge of the southern Oregon dls trict. Examiners will be In council chambers on the top floor of city hall from 8 to 6 both days and ap plicants are asked to report between those hours. The midweek examina tions will be held to relieve the con gestion on Saturday, customary day for the examinations tn Medford.
