The beautiful ceremony, with Dr. Bherman L. Divine officiating, took til ace at the Presbvterlan church, Vov.-s were spoken at an altar be decked with ferns and white ehrys- , anthemums with white candle on K either aide. t. The bride, given in marriage by ' her father, waa lovely In her mother s , wedding gown of 1899, an exqulalte , dress of brocaded mousseltne da solo with a rose point collarette and alight train worn over ivory taffeta. Her full length tulle veil was draped from ft halo cap encircled with seed pearls with orange blossoms on either aide. t Her only Jewelry was a single string of pearls, a wedding gilt from the bridegroom. , Miss Predertca Brommer was maid .of honor. Bhe wore a taffeta full '.. eltlrted gown of old rose trimmed 4 with dubonnet velvet bows. A tulle headpiece matching her dress was fastened with dubonnet velvet flow ers. She carried an old fashioned nosegay bf pastel flowers. Mr, H. O. Warmbold of Chicago acted na beat man for Mr. McClure end ushers were Everett A. Faber and per ell Huson of this city. Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Vernon A. Day played several harp selections after which Mrs. Darell Hunon sang a special arrangement of "I Love You Truly" with harp accompaniment by Mrs. Day. The wedding march from Lohen gren was played on the organ by Mrs. Eva Marsh. The bride's mother, Mrs. Brown, wore a crepe afternoon dress of du bonnet with matching veiled hat and black accessories. Her corsage was lilies of the valley. Following the wedding ceremony which was witnessed by a large num ber of guests; a wedding breakfast for the bridal party and Immediate friends of the bride, was given by Mr, and Mrs. Brown at their home on West 11th street. Mrs. Frederick H. Johnson poured and Mrs. Ever6tt Faber, Mrs. Darell Huson. Mrs. Vernon Day and Mlu Mary Martha .Sweeney assisted about the rooms. Mr. and Mrs. McClure departed by i motorcar after the wedding break-1 last for Chicago where they will re side. Mrs. McClure chose a golng away ensemble of olive green crepe , dress, a black velvet belt trimmed In black feathers was the only orna ment. Bho wore a black French hat, and block coat. Her corsage was gar denias. Among out-of-town guevtt attend Ins the wedding were the maid of honor. Miss Brommer of Portland, ' Miss Mury Martha Sweeney, also of Portland, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank .Van Dyke of Ashland. Mrs. McClure, well known In Med ford. Is a graduate of Med ford high school and of Willamette University. The past several years she has trav elled extensively. In this city she was -active In civic affairs and a popular member of Medford society. Numerous party showers. Informal dinners and club entertainments hon ored Mrs. McClure prior to her mar riage. Among hostesses were Mrs. B A. Fnher, Miss Vera Humphrey, Mrs. Jack Simpson, Crater Lake Guild and her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Brown. Zonta Initiates Three New Members - At a formal dinner given Monday evening at the home of Mrs, Mar g a ret Fnbrlrk on Crater Lake avenue, the Medford Zonta International club celebrated Its second anniversary of , the founding of the local chapter. The outstanding feature of the eve ning wns the Initiation of three new jni'mberfl. New members are Miss Janle Smith of the Park service. Miss Florence : Shearer of the Jackson County Cham ber cf Commerce and Miss Maiyarot Morrison of the Dear Creek orchard ' plant. ' Rooms were artistically decorated , with autumn leaves and flowers. Fol lowing the dinner a program was en Joyed. Effle Kurt a sang medley of Zonta nonrs and Triors Lawrence gave the founding of Zonta, Mrs. Fahrlck pn-st-ntod the Zonta code. Rosenberg Home Scene of Party Mr. and Ms. David Rosenberg ware hosts Saturday evening at their homo on Reddy avenue for a delightful din ner party. Eighteen guests were present at the affair. This Is the first of a series of dinner parties that the Rosenbergs will give. Former Residents Visit at Ohms Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Graves of Berk eley, Calif., are visitors In Medford and house guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ohm at their home on West 11th street. The entire group plan to leave to day by motorcar for Portland where they will vacation for several days. The Oraves formerly resided In this city and have many friends here. Presbyterian church when the Sunny Sisters circle of the church sponsored a luncheon and style show. Two hundred and fifty women filled the parlors to capacity. Salad lunch eon waa served on small tables which held attractive centerpieces of fsll bouquets. Large vases ' of flowers were about the room. Following luncheon, charming mod els displayed the latest trend In fashions which were shown to ad vantage by walking down a long run way in the center of the room. Com plete ensembles Including akl suit, afternoon ' dresses, hostess gowns, sports clothes, suits and formals were modeled. Making the Initial appearance In the style show were three models, Helen Allyn. Connie Degman and Iva Todd, who were gowned In fashions of long ago. The exquisite dresses belong to Mrs. D. W. Luke of this city. One of the gowns waa worn at the Inaugural ball when Harrison wss president. Miss Mary Anne Oatee, also In an old fashioned gown, . delighted the audience with a song, "Grandma" which fitted the occasion. Miss Dates presented several other solos and Mrs. William McAllister and Mrs. Darell Huson were' heard in two enjoyable duets. The models and the firms-they rep resented are as follows: Mrs. H. B. Miss Swinson Visits Relatives in City Miss Bobble Leigh Swinson arrived In Medford recently from Eugene and la visiting with her aunts, Mrs. E. N. Etdrldge and Mrs. Ed. Beckelhymer. Mrs. Everett Faber reviewed the book. "The Journalist's Wife" by Lil lian Thompson Mower, wife of the Paris correspondent of the Chicago Dally News. Contrasts were drawn betwoen our own democracy and European countries, Mrs. Mower's lmptTcstona of Hitler and Mussolini were especially amusing. Mrs. L. Lounsberry read sn account of the mysterious disappearance and death of Mr. DelMl, the engineer; Mrs. Harold Larson gave a number of Interesting facts from far and near. BAKERY Miss Barbara Wall Weds Bert Lowry in Episcopal Rites ' At a simple but Impressive, cere mony yesterday afternoon at S o'clock at St. Mark's Episcopal manse, Miss Barbara Wall, daughter of Mrs. AlonU M. Wall and the late Everett R. Wall, became the brlds of Bert Lowry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert B. Lowry of this city. Father Ernest S. Bart lam officiated. The charming bride wore a navy blue tailored suit with rust colored accessories and a corsage of gar denias. Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, broth -sr-ln-law and aster of the bride groom, were the only attendants and 1 Immediate members of the families witnessed the rite,. The couple left after the ceremony for San Francisco via the Redwood highway on their wedding trip. The will make their home In this ctty where Mr. Lowry Is assistant super intendent of Bear Creek orchards. - Mrs. Lowry has lived In Medford all her life. She graduated from Medford high 'school. For the past several year, she has been private secretary to Eugene Thorndlke at the First National bank, Portland branch here. Mr. Lowry also graduated from Medford high school and later at tended Oregon State college In Cor vallls where he was affiliated with Theta Chi fraternity. The couple are both prominent In social activities of the younger set here. Miss May' Green Thursday Bride t Of Tyley Evans The marriage of Miss May Oreen to Tyley Evans wss solemnized Thurs dr.y afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Green on Route a. The Rev. Wolford A. Dawes of the Baptist chufch officiated. The bride was attractive In a navy blue silk crepe afternoon dress with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias and bovardla. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Flor ence Oreen of Oresham. Ralph Evans acted as best man for his brother. 'The bride was given In marriage by her brother. Roan Oreen. The couple left after the Impressive wedding service for a honeymoon to be spent on the coast. They will be at home to their many friends this week at 720 Oak street. Mrs. Evans Is a graduate of Med ford high school and attended Med ford Business college. She has lived In this city for a number of years and la a popular member of the younger set. Mr. Evans Is the son of Mrs. Bar bara Evans. He Is also a Medford high school graduste and Is associated with Eads Transfer company In this city. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Evans was feted at a number of delightful parties given by her many friends. Many Anticipate Bridge Luncheon AU final arrangements for the bridge luncheon to be held on Wed nesday, October 19, at St. Mary'a Academy, were completed by Mrs. J. C. Boyle, chairman and her executive committee membera at their last meeting held on Friday evening. A delightful afternoon Is In pros pect with luncheon served at noon, cards throughout the afternoon, and tea from four-thirty to six In the evening. This latter feature has been specially arranged for those whose engsgemente will not permit earlier attendance. "Back To School" Entertainment Is Enjoyable Affair Five hundred or mors parents took advantage of "Back to School Might" at Junior high school on last i-ues- day evening.' Never has a P. T. A. occasion m more successful. Not a dull moment was experienced during the entire evening. Due to efflolent organisa tion on the part of the scnooi every thing rhoved along with quick and well ordered precision and parents settled Into their roles ss "kids" with apparently not the slightest dlffU culty. Eight o'clock found the auditorium filled and an "examination" consist ing of "riddles" waa given at this Urns by Mrs. A. E. Brockway. - Following a very short P. T. A. business procedure 'James Mullens, Junior high school principal took charge of the "students." After an Interesting talk by Mr. Mullens on Junior high school alms and objec tives, class bells began to ring and from this time on It was a scramble to .get from class to class on time. Much credit is due bulldog guards". James Hoey, J. A. McDougall, A. E. Brockway, Hugh Slnnott, Robt. Kyle, J. S. Nlckerson and E. W. Wall for keeping order. . Many complimentary comments are being, made on the gracious manner of the1 teachers. In receiving the par ents and the entirely clear conception which' parents were given on. the subject matter of their children's courses and the present day methoda by which they are taught. A spirited pep assembly followed the completion of classes snd here with Ray Henderson as pep leader the parents enthusiastically voiced "the old school spirit." Wilson Walts and his Junior high school band fur nished snappy accompaniments to lusty school songs. At the close of pep sssembly six husky members of Coach Harrington's junior high football team came bounding down the aisles of the auditorium, went Into a huddle and were finally Introduced by their coach as: "Rock 'em and Sock 'em (A.
