(UP) Claiming the measure will result In a pyra mided sales tax, the Oregon Business and Investors corporation of Port land filed objections late yesterdiw to the citizens' retirement annuity bill which will appear on the gen eral election ballot In November. The bill, Initiated by petition, was designed to raise money for old ago pensions through a two per cent tax on the gross dollar value of all trans actions In the stato. "It la a monstrous sales tax, a sales tax on a sales tax, a pyramid ing super-sales tax," said the ob jections which wilt be published In the voters' pamphlet. "It Is not a simple retail sales tax such aa Washington and Cali fornia have. It Is a two per cent tax on every conceivable kind of salts or transaction, from the two per cent tax on the doctor's fee for bringing your child into the world, to the two per oent tax on the undertaker charges for service and material."
