The Garden Club The Medford Garden club will hold Its regular monthly meeting Thurs day evening, May 6, on the mezza nine floor at the Hotel Medford. Delegates to the state conference to be held In Mnrshfleld. June 2 and 3 are to be elscted and also officer for nest year. Flower arrangement Is to bo the subject for this meeting and every one is asked to bring her favorite flower arrangement. A first prize donated by Mrs. Alfred Carpenter will be decided by ballot and likewise a second prize donated by the pro gram chairman, Mrs. Ralph Woodford will be awarded. If any one has questions to ask about his Individual garden problems bring them to this meeting, some one will be able to help answer them. Other Important announcements are to be made at this meeting and a full attendance is desired. The question .has been asked as to what becomes of the Garden club's membership dues of one dollar. The per capita dues for the national council and the state federation amounts to fifteen cents. The spring flower shows have cost yearly about fifty dollars, smaller shows less of course. The Junior Garden club work costs the club yearly from twenty to twenty-five dollars. This year the club has bought a garden encyclope dia and distributed about six hun dred free packages of garden seeds Members always give freely from their gardens for civic plantings and public affairs.
