Ayer, chief of the flight branch of the bureau of air commerce, were overnight visitors In Medford. Thaw was piloting a new Lockheed Electra 12-place transport plane for delivery to the Trans-Canada Air Lines at Vancouver, B. C. Ayer was accom panying him on a business trip to the north. The arrived at Medford municipal airport from the south yesterday afternoon, making an un scheduled landing here when fog be came too thick for safe progress. Rut ledge of 040 Pennsylvania avenue was taken to Sacred Heart hospital early today, suffering from a fractured left ankle sustained when she slipped and fell on the floor of her home as she was attempting to empty a stove of ashes. Hospital attendants said the fracture necessitated an anesthetic being given Mrs. Rutledge before the break was set. She was taken to the hospital by the Perl ambulance. Minor Accidents Ben J.
