PIERCE ALLEN ADDS MOTOR ANALYZER 10 SHOP'S FACILITIES The pleasure of spring driving la greatly enhanced by the increas ed performance which comes from the careful check-up and spring conditioning service according to L. C. Taylor, local Dodge-PI ymoutn dealer. Mr. Taylor has Just Installed a Weldenhoff Analyser, approved by the Dodge factory to give the mot orist an aocurate check and condi tion of the motor, ' "It is our policy," stated Mr. Taylor, "to give the best In service and that means that we must have the lateetr In service equipment to eliminate the guess In analysing Just what Is necessary to give your motor the perform It had when new." K. F. White, -ifvlce manager of the company, pointed out sev eral of the more Important opera tions in the spring check-up which In addition to regular service helped the car to meet the increased de mands made on It by long summer drives. The engine, transmission and rear axle should be drained of the light winter lulbrlcants and the heavier warm weather grade put In. The radiator should be drained and flushed and also radiator connec tions; the fan belt should be check ed to Insure proper cooling and the engine should be tuned by a competent mechanic. All points of the Ignition system should be care fully checked. This provides for maximum performance and in creased safety resulting from great er handling ease and removal ol possible Ignition difficulties. In addition to these services, tlreB should be checked, brakes teLd and adjusted, battery cleaned and refilled and the car washed and polished to remove all trace of de structive salts and chlorides used to dissolve ice on winter roads. It Is also a good plan to check up on emergency repair Items such as jacks, spare light bulbs, fuses and tools because of the amount ot country driving during the summer. Careful application of such a spring service check-up by a trained serv ice department will make car own ership a more pleasant experience this summer, Mr. White concluded, i SALES RECORDS Packard Motor Car company Is continuing In the breaking of all records lor Ita entire history in both production and delivery of cars to customers, It la announced by Perry L.
